Hippity Hoppity! 

Hello! Jen here today and I'm popping in with a last minute Easter card that I just created!

This card uses the following products:

Spring Pile Up Stamp Set

Frames & Flags Die Set

Happy Easter Paper Pack

I started out by coloring the adorable image of the lamb, bunny and chick all stacked up from the Spring Pile Up Stamp Set. I colored them with copic markers using neutral colors with pops of yellow, purple and green. I had fun adding little dots to the lambs fur to make him look fluffy!

Next, I created a fun background for the image. I cut out the stitched rectangle using the Basic Frames Die Set to hold my scene. I used the Hills & Grass Stencil with green ink for the hill on the bottom. Then I grabbed our newMusic Notes Stencil and used it to fill in the sky with blue music notes! I knew I wanted to use the sentiment "Hippity hoppity Easter's on its way!" on the card and I every time I stamp that the song goes through my head so I thought music notes would be a fun touch!

I stamped the sentiment onto a yellow banner (cut using the Frames & Flags Die Set). Then I picked a piece of paper from the new Happy Easter Paper Pack. I thought the purple bunny print tied in perfectly with both the image and the purple I used on the tulip and eggs!

Then I just assembled everything together and the adorable easter card is complete! I had so much fun playing with all of these products!

Spring Heights Card by Samantha Mann

Climb Up for a Better View with Newton! 

Today Samantha has created an gorgeous card featuring our Spring Heights Stamp Set that that is sure to inspire!

For this fun card, Samantha die cut out the background using our A2 card Layout 2 Die Set. Then she taped the pieces together and ink blended the panel using blues and greens with our Cascading Stars Stencil and our Hills & Grass Stencil. She also used white embossing paste to add a few white stars, again with our Cascading Stars Stencil.  Then she assembled all the pieces onto the card, using foam adhesive on the frame edges to add a bit of dimension. 

Now she has the perfect setting to add in the fun image of the kitties in the tree from our  Spring Heights Stamp Set. The kitties were colored in fun neutral grays with cute pink cheeks and she cut the image out using the coordinating Spring Heights Die Set. 

The finishing touch is the sentiment, which she embossed in white onto a circle that was cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set.

Llama Birthday Fun Card by Samantha Mann

Llama Birthday Fun!

Need a card for an upcoming Birthday?  This fun card by Samantha is sure to send a birthday smile! 

She started out by creating the beautiful background panel. She first cut out a long scallop edged fram using our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. She then added layers of hills to the lower half of of the panel using our Hills & Grass Stencil with green distress ink. She added blue ink to the top for a sky and  mounted the panel on a white cardstock base. 

Next she colored stamped two llamas using our Loveable Llamas Stamp Set. She colored them in neutral colors, adding fun pink cheeks and white dots to their bodies for a fun detail. She also stamped and colored the blankets for their backs and a stack of gifts from the same Loveable Llamas Stamp Set. She cut all these images out using the coordinating Loveable Llamas Die Set. She also added a bundle of balloons, stamped from our Cycling Friends Stamp Set and a birthday hat from our Newton's Cupcake Stamp Set.

Last, she added the sentiment, mixing stamped words from our Loveable Llamas Stamp Set with cut out letters using our Essential Alphabet Die Set. What a fun way to make a customized message!

Mouse Themed Note Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

A Little Note...

Today we are sharing a sweet little note card created by Tatiana. This cute little scene filled with mice and flowers is perfect for sending a cheerful spring wish to a friend. 

She started out by stamping and coloring the duo of mice holding flowers from our Garden Mice Stamp Set. She colored the mice in neutral grays and then added bright pops of orange and purple for the big blooms. She also added highlights with a white gel pen for added detail. She cut the two images out using the coordinating Garden Mice Die Set. 

For her card, she created a fun background scene onto a white card base. She added green grass using our Hills & Grass Stencil along the bottom and then added blue ink for a sky along the top. She then added a few clouds into the sky using our Cloudy Sky Stencil with a bit of white pigment ink. This is such a fun and easy way to make a background scene. 

Next, she cut out the fun stitched frame using our Frames & Tags Die Set. She then arranged the frame over the background and tucked the mice into it on opposite sides. Isn't it cute how the mouse is peeking down from the top corner? She added the sentiment "just a little note..." from the Garden Mice Stamp Set, embossed in white onto a purple banner. She also added a few epoxy dots in orange and purple for a finishing detail. 

We love this layout! It's so fun how the scene peeks in from behind the frame!

Hogs & Kisses Card by Samantha Mann

Hogs & Kisses!

Today we are starting out a new year of projects with an adorable pig card created by Samantha!

To create this whimsical card she stamped the fun little piggies from our Oink Stamp Set and colored them with watercolor marker, giving them fun spots and pink cheeks! She also used a white gel pen to add little accents. She cut the pigs out using the coordinating Oink Die Set. 

For her card she created a grassy landscape using our Hills & Grass Stencil with distress inks. She added water splatters for a bit of texture. Then she used our Essential Alphabet Die Set to cut out the custom sentiment "hogs & kisses" and layered black cardstock behind it to make it pop! 

What a fun way to add a big bold message to your card!  She added the pigs around the letters, adhering them with a bit of three dimensional tape. So cute!

Birithday Gnome Card by Farhana Sarker

Birthday Wishes with a Gnome 

Today we're sharing a fun card by Farhana that is perfect for sending a unique birthday wish!

For this creative card she paired the image of the gnome sitting on a mushroom from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set with more mushrooms from our new Fabulous Fungus Stamp Set. What a perfect pairing! She colored all the images with alcohol marks and then cut them out using the coordinating Gnome Garden Die Set and Fabulous Fungus Die Set. 

Next, she created a scene for all these images by using our Clouds Stencil and Hills & Grass Stencil with distress inks to create layers of grass and clouds. She cut an oval out of the center of the panel using our Oval Frames Die Set and arranged all the images around the edge. Then she stamped the sentiment from the Gnome Garden Stamp Set inside the oval frame.  What a fun way to add dimension to a scene!

Meow's it Going? Slimline Card by Amanda Wilcox

Meows it Going?

What is better than receiving a happy hello in the mail? Today we're sharing a card by Amanda that would certainly make someone smile if they found it in their mailbox!

For this adorable card, Amanda features the trio of kitties playing outdoors from our Captivated Kittens Stamp Set. She stamped and colored each image using gorgeous spring tones and giving each kitty a different fur color. Then she cut the trio out using the coordinating Captivated Kittens Die Set. 

For the card base, she choose to create a slimline card to give room to showcase all three images! She inked the card base with the fun pattern from our Basketweave Stencil. Then she used our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set to cut a frame. This is perfect because it has three square windows and each kitty gets his own little scene. Inside each window frame she used our Clouds Stencil and Hills & Grass Stencil to create the little scenes. Then she assembled it all together, using dimensional adhesives to give the images some height. 

For the sentiment, she used our Speech Bubbles Die Set to cut a speech bubble and stamped "Meow's it going" inside. So adorable!

Newton's Kite Video with Jennifer Jackson

Newton's Kite card and Video

Hello! Jen here today with an adorable card using our Newton's Kite Stamp Set! 

For this card I used the cute kitty from our Newton's Kite Stamp Set for the main image. I watercolored the image using Zig Brush Markers and cut it out using the coordinating Newton's Kite Die Set. 

For the card, I created a fun scene for the kitty to fly the kite in. I used our Clouds Stencil to stencil layers of clouds in the sky and then created a landscape along the bottom of the scene using our Hills & Grass Stencil with two shades of green. This scene was super quick and easy to create. I used our Frames & Flags Die Set to add the fun scalloped edge to the panel and adhered it onto a light yellow card base. I added on Newton and his kite using some dimensional tape. 

For the sentiment I used phrases from the Newton's Kite Stamp Set. There are a few different endings you can choose for the "soaring by with" and for this card I used "paw-sitive vibes!" but you could also create a thank you or birthday card using the other sentiments in the set! In my video I chose to create it with the birthday sentiment. 

This card was so much fun to create!

St Patrick's Day Card by Donna Idlet

St. Patrick's Day Gold!

Today we are sharing an adorable St. Patrick's Day card created by Donna! 

For this fun creation she uses the adorable image of Newton peeking out from behind the pot of gold from our Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set. She colored the image and added some gold sparkle to it and gold sequins for the gold! How fun! She fussy cut the image out by hand to add to her scene. 

To set the scene, she used our Hills & Grass Stencil to add a layer of grass along the bottom of the card and inked the sky in blue. Then she cut thin strips of paper in rainbow colors and adhered them so that they are radiating out of the pot of gold. Clouds were also added to the sky using our Sky Scene Builder Die Set. 

We hope everyone is as lucky as Newton and finds a rainbow and pot of gold this St. Patrick's Day!

You Lift Me Up Card by Jennifer Jackson

You Lift Me Up!

Hello! Jen here today sharing an uplifting card! This fun card featuring the lovely lady with the bouquet of balloons from our Holding Happiness Stamp Set. I colored the image with copic markers in fun bright colors and added some white polka dots to her skirt with a white gel pen. The image was cut out using the coordinating Holding Happiness Die Set. 

For the background I had fun making a simple scene using our Hills & Grass Stencil along the bottom with distress inks to create a hill and a grassy edge. This is the perfect spot for the girl to stand on. Then I cut the top edge with our Sky Borders Die Set to give it a cloudy edge. The card base is blue so the top edge adds a pop of blue color for the sky. Then I simply stamped the sentiment from our  Uplifting Wishes Stamp Set onto the blank spot in the sky. A bit of polka dot washi tape and twine along the bottom add a finishing touch.

This card was so fun and simple and fun to make! It would be perfect to send a thank you to someone or just to brighten anyone's day!

Hi, I’m Rachel and I first discovered the world of card making back in 2015 when I decided to make the invitations to my sister-in-law’s baby shower. I love utilizing lots of color into my designs and enjoy all styles of card making. When I’m not crafting, I am a busy homeschooling mother of three. 

Hello crafty friends!  It's Rachel here and I'm thrilled to be guest designing for Newton's Nook Designs this month! I have a fun shaker card to share with you today using some adorable images from the Tides of Love Stamp Set.

I made the main portion of my card one layer using a masking technique along with some Gina K. Designs Masking Magic Paper. If you look at the photo below, you can see how I stamped the front images first, masked them, and then stamped the images (on top of the first image) that I wanted to appear behind them. I used the Hills & Grass Stencil as a template to create a mask for my ocean floor.  All of my images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored with Copic Markers (colors listed at the bottom of this post).

I knew that I wanted to use the Frames & Flags Die Set to create my shaker window, so I used the window die as a reference when stamping my images.  Once I had all of my images stamped, I than masked any image that I had not yet masked and then blended my water background with Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks.  Once blended, I lightly splattered this area with diluted opaque white acrylic paint as well as some diluted Wilted Violet Distress Ink.  Next, I removed the mask from the ocean floor and used the Hills & Grass Stencil to blend some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink for my ocean floor.  I then removed all of my masking pieces and set my piece aside to dry before coloring my images.

While it was drying, I then die cut 6 of my scalloped frames from white card stock using the two largest dies that come with the Frames & Flags Die Set.  I adhered 5 of them together with liquid adhesive to create a clean cut dimensional frame to hold my shaker embellishments.  Before adding my frame, I colored my images and trimmed down my underwater piece to slightly larger than the window opening.  I stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and adhered this piece to an A2 sized top-folding base piece (cut to 4.25" x 11" and scored on the long side at 5.5") and then glued my scalloped frame layer on top of it so that my underwater scene peeked through the window opening.

I added my embellishments (3mm clear sequins) and then adhered my last frame piece to which I had glued a piece of clear acetate behind.

You're Manatee-rific Card by Samantha Mann

Mantee-rific!

Want to send a card to let someone know how awesome they are? This cute manatee card by Samantha would be perfect for just that! She created this awesome underwater scene featuring the manatees from our Manatee-rific Stamp Set. She stamped the two underwater friends and colored them using Zig Clean Color watercolor brush markers. She added fun pink cheeks and then some white accents with a white gel pen too. The cute friends were cut out using the coordinating Manatee-rific Die Set. 

For the scene, she used our Hills & Grass Stencil to create layers of soft hill like waves with distress inks and then used the Waves & Splashes Stencil to add a wave shaped layer on the top. 

She finished the underwater scene by adding seaweed and bubbles from our Scuba Newton Stamp Set, cut out with the coordinating Scuba Newton Die Set.

You're the Only Fish in the Sea for Me Card by Maria Russell

Slimline Sea Scene!

Slimline cards are so perfect for creating fun scenes! Today we are sharing a fabulous underwater scene card by Maria featuring the bold aquatic images from our Tranquil Tides Stamp Set. 

To create this fun scene, Maria used the large scallop edged slimline rectangle from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. Then she masked off the edge outside the stitched border and used our Waves Stencil to create waves and our Hills & Grass Stencil Set to create sandy underwater hills. She stamped the fish from ourTranquil Tides Stamp Set, cutting them out by hand and adding gloss over them for a fun shiny look. She added them to her underwater scene.  Then she stamped the coral and bubbles from our Tranquil Tides Stamp Set over the background using bright colored inks so that the images pop off the background. She added the sentiment "You are the only fish in the sea for me" in the upper corner with black ink. Then she added a few sequins for a bit of finishing sparkle!
