Have a HOOPY Birthday!
Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing a fun card I created by pairing our adorable new Hula Hoop Newton with a fun circle background.
For this cards I used the following products:
This card was so fun to make. First I colored the image of Newton swirling in the hula hoop using alcohol markers in shades of orange. I colored the hula hoop lime green to match with the papers I planned on using from our Birthday Party Paper Pack.
Next I created that fun background of circles. I knew I wanted to create hoop shapes but I didn't have a die that created that exact shape. So I used TWO dies from my Circle Frames Die Set, nesting them inside each other when I cut them out. To see how I did this you can watch the video below.
I had so much fun with this technique! Once I had the layout figured out I created a second card, almost identical. On this card I choose a different piece of patterned paper, a different color blue for the die cut hoops and then I colored the kitty differently. It's so easy to mix things up just a little and create a bunch of cards once you have a plan!
