Foxy Winter Sweater Card by January Guest Designer Toni Maddox

Hi, everyone!  Toni of Frankie Helps Craft here with you for my last guest design post. Sigh.  I've had such a great time playing with NND products and sharing my creations with you. I'll miss you guys!  And thanks to Newton's Nook for having me as a guest designer.  It's truly been an honor!

For my final card I combined a couple of my favorites I've used this month, the Sweater Weather set and Evergreens Stencil.  I started the card by masking and sponging Evergreens Stencil using Distress Oxides in Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters.  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black. Once that was dry (what a mess getting Versafine your embossing plate, trust me) I embossed the background using a sweater knit folder.  As a knitter, this makes me happy dance.

I colored up the  Sweater Weather fox, adding lots of details like fur lines using Copics and a white pigment pen. I added a few sequin snowflakes too for additional interest. Can you see I used a puffy snow embossing pen on the hat as well? I love this combo of texture, shine and color.
