Newton's Seashell

Newton is so sweet holding a seashell on this 2x3 stamp set. He is holding it up to his ear to listen for the sounds of the sea. Pair it with the "Sea is Calling" sentiment and splash of water for fun summer creations! Die sets sold separately.

Retro Sun & Palms Stencil

This layered stencil design lets you create amazing two colored beach scenes easily! You can easily center the sun on your standard A2 sized card front using the etched guidelines for portrait or landscape orientations. June Reveals Day 1 - Newton's 4th of July and Buns Out Stamp Sets + Fireworks Stencil

Welcome to the first reveal day for our June Release! This month we are celebrating all things summer! Today we are starting things out with Newton celebrating the 4th of July and a fireworks stencil! Plus we have an adorable hamburger set, complete with a silly pun! Scroll down for details. Newton's 4th of July

Newton is celebrating Independence Day on this fun 4x6 Stamp Set. He's so cute riding a rocket and waving sparklers! His puppy friend joins in on the fun too, riding with him in a wagon full of fireworks! Trio of Birthday Tags by June Guest Designer Melissa Andrew

Hi ya everyone!  Melissa here and I’m so excited to share my second project as a guest designer here at Newton’s Nook Designs!  I love creating tags as they are perfect for birthday presents.  For today’s tags, I used a number of Newton’s Nook items including; Frames and Flags Die Set, Clouds Stencil, Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set, Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Dainty Daisies Stamp Set. 

I started by first using a tag die cut I had in my stash and cut white card stock. (If you don't have a tag die set, Newton's Nook has a fun one called Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.)  I also cut the banner die from the Frames and Flags Die. I decided to create three tags total.

Next, I used my tag die to cut the top of the banner so they would add to my tags easily.  I did a few ink blended clouds on the banner tags using the Clouds Stencil from Newton’s Nook. 

I then stamped images from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Dainty Daisies Stamp Set in a light colored dye ink.  I wanted to create a no line watercolor look, and a light dye ink works perfectly.  After stamping each bunny and three dainty daisies I used my watercolor pens to water color the images.  I did this on Bristol Smooth paper.

Next, I fussy cut the bunnies and dainty daisies.  After fussy cutting, I cut the dainty daisies right in half.  I wanted each half for my tag.  I simply put them on my paper trimmer and cut them in the center.  I then adhered them to my inked banner.

I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Newton Loves Cake and stamped on vellum with pigment black ink and then used a clear embossing powder.  I then used twine and ribbon to layer the banner onto the tag and then adhered the vellum around the entire tag.

Last, I added foam dots to the bunny images and popped them up on my tags.  I love the added dimension of the foam dots and it makes the bunnies the real star of the show!

Happy for You Card by Larissa Heskett

Happy For You! 

Today we are sharing an amazing floral card created by Larissa. The pretty flowers on this card are perfect for sending someone a bit of cheer and happiness!

She stamped the large floral heart image from our Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set, embossing it in black and coloring the flowers in fun bright colors with alcohol markers. She also added teal around the outside of the flower image to really make it pop! She cut the image out using the big scalloped heart from the Heart Frames Die Set. 

For the card base, she created a square card using the big square die with stitching and rounded corners from our Frames Squared Die Set. She added a fun floral pattern to the background by stamping the big floral image from the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set again, repeating it to create a patterned strip along the bottom of the card.  The finishing touch is the sentiment "Happy for you" also from the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set, stamped onto a banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

What a beautiful card! We hope that this card has made you smile today!

Galloping By Card by Amanda Wilcox

Galloping By...

Today we are galloping by with a happy hello on this card by Amanda! This fun card features the image of a horse from our Neigh Stamp Set, galloping along over some fun colorful stripes! Amanda colored the image of the horse and cut it out using the coordinating Neigh Die Set to add him to her card. She also added a couple of hay bales using an image from our Moo Stamp Set, cut out with the coordinating Moo Die Set. 

The background was created by stenciling stripes using our Serene Stripes Stencil over a  postage edged panel that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. She finishes off this fun layout by adding the sentiment, also from the Neigh Stamp Set along the bottom edge. 

Amanda also added a fun message on the card inside. She finishes off the "Galloping by" sentiment from the front with the "to say howdy" sentiment on the inside! Another horse finishes off the fun! Both images are also from the Neigh Stamp Set.
