Sending You a Birthday Pug Card by Tina Herbeck

Birthday Pug!

This fun birthday card by Tina would be perfect for any dog lovers on your list! She features the adorable pug from our Pug Hugs Stamp Set. She colors him using alcohol markers, giving him a fun teal colored birthday hat. Tina cut out her images using a Scan N Cut but you could also use the coordinating Pug Hugs Die Set. 

For her card base she cut out a scallop edged panel using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She added a soft blue hue in the center of her panel to help the images pop. Behind the pup she also added balloons from our Delightful Doxies Stamp Set, coloring them teal, green, yellow and gray and added them behind the pup. Isn't it cute how she used twine to make strings for the balloons? Again, she cut her balloons out using a Scan N Cut but you could also use the coordinating Delightful Doxies Die Set.

To finish off this cute card, she added the birthday pug sentiment from the  Pug Hugs Stamp Set in the lower right corner and added some iridescent sequins around the balloons.

Happy Bird-Day Card by Zsofia Molnar

Heart Shaped Birthday Card!

Today Zsofia has created a sweet heart shaped birthday card! For this card she features the duo of sweet flamingos from our retiring Flirty Flamingo Stamp Set. She stamped this sweet duo onto a scallop edged heart that was cut out using our Heart Frames Die Set. Then she created an amazing sunset over the water behind them, hand coloring it using alcohol markers. How gorgeous! The little birds in the sky are also from the Flirty Flamingo Stamp Set. She added the sentiment "Happy bird-day" embossed in white on a little strip of black paper. Then she layered this scene over a large pink heart shaped card base. This larger heart was also cut out using our Heart Frames Die Set

Here is a close up so you can see all the lovely details. The gloss added to the bird beaks really gives a special finishing touch!

Coffee Is Always a Good Idea Card by June Guest Designer Melissa Andrew

Today we are introducing our Guest Designer for June, Melissa Andrew! We were amazed with her gorgeous coloring and beautiful cards on instagram and can't wait to share what she creates this month using our products! Hi ya! I’m Melissa – a 40 something wife and mother of two girls and a sweet boy. I currently live in Rockville, MD and work as a research laboratory manager at a Children's hospital in DC. Hi ya everyone, Melissa here today and I’m super excited to share my first post as a Newton’s Nook Designs Guest Designer!  I adore everything Newton’s Nook Designs and today I used Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set, Argyle Stencil Set and the Frames and Flags Die Set to create today’s simple card.

I started by stamping the adorable Newton in an alcohol friendly black ink.  I then colored Newton in a calico pattern with my alcohol markers.  I cut little Newton out and added foam dots to his back.

Next, I used the Argyle Stencil Set to stencil in light and dark blue ink on a die cut piece of white card stock.  I used the next to largest die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Last, I cut out the scalloped border die from the Frames and Flags Die Set in a light blue card stock.  I then adhered that to an A2 size card base.  I stamped a sentiment from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set in dark blue ink.

I then adhered this Argyle layer to the base layer with foam tape to give the card a bit more dimension.  Newton was added last with foam dots. 

In the end, a few sequins finished off today’s simple card.

Teacher Thank You Card by Samantha Mann

A Great Card for a Great Teacher!

Do you need a cute idea for a fun thank you card for your teachers? This amazing card by Samantha would be perfect for letting them know how much they are appreciated! To create this card, Samantha combined the kitty with the apple from our Newton Dreams of New York Stamp Set (retiring) with the kitty on the stack of books from our Newton's Book Club Stamp Set. These two images work purr-fectly together for a fun school themed image! She colored those kitties using bright watercolors and fussy cut them out by hand. So incredible!

For her card base, she masked off the top half of her card and inked it up using distress inks. Then she stenciled stars over it using our Cascading Stars Stencil with white texture paste. She added the sentiment from our  Classy Teachers Stamp Set, embossing it in white onto a strip of black cardstock.

Gnome Garden Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Gnomes in the Garden!

Today Tatiana has created an adorable gnome card that is perfect for sending a fun spring greeting! 

Her card features that adorable gnome sitting on a mushroom from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set. She colored the gnome in fun bright colors, giving him a pink mushroom to sit on and added white polka dots to his hat with a white gel pen. So adorable! She also stamped and colored some extra flowers and butterflies from the same stamp set and cut everything out using the coordinating Gnome Garden Die Set. 

To create her fun card layout she used our Frames & Flags Die Set to create a fun scalloped edge from white cardstock and then cut a circle out of it using our Circle Frames Die Set. Behind this circle window she added a fun cloudy sky using our Petite Clouds Stencil! She then layered her gnome, flowers and butterflies in front of the circle window! So cute!

Life's Better in the Garden Card by Samantha VanArnhem

A Garden full of Sunflowers!

Sunflowers are the perfect way to brighten someone's day! This Samantha is perfect for doing just that! She features a cute little garden of sunflowers stamped using our Sunflower Days Stamp Set. She colored them in gorgeous bright colors and used the coordinating Sunflower Days Die Set to cut out the image. 

To create her garden scene, she created a cute little brown hill using the scalloped edge die from our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. Then she added a bit of white fence behind it using our Fence Die Set. Behind this, she added clouds to the card base using blue ink with our Clouds Stencil. 

For the finishing details she added a butterfly in the sky and the sentiment underneath, both from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set. 

This card is sure to send a smile!

Slimline Birthday Card by Farhana Sarker

A Rainbow of Birthday Wishes!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous slimline birthday card by Farhana! This card features a fun rainbow of colors over hearts, perfect for a colorful birthday greeting. 

To create those lovely rainbow hearts, she stamped the floral image from our Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set three times, embossing it with white embossing powder. The white embossed images resist the rainbow of ink applied over the top and create such a lovely effect! The hearts were cut out using the large stitched heart from our Heart Frames Die Set. 

For her card base, Farhana used the large slimline scallop edged frame from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. Then she added three birthday themed sentiments, combining words from our Birthday Roundabout Stamp Set and our Mom & Dad Stamp Set. Each sentiment was stamped and embossed onto a banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set.
