Inky Paws Challenge #9 - Spring Color Challenge!

Happy Friday and the the first day of #09 Inky Paws Challenge!  

This month's challenge is a Color Challenge!

I just love spring flowers so I thought  this beautiful bouquet would be perfect inspiration for a fun spring color challenge!

 The colors we're looking for in projects are: Pale Pink  • Yellow • Lilac • Soft Green

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? The Challenge winner will receive a $10 store credit to our online store and a Inky Paws Challenge Top Pick Badge to add to your blog! If we get more than 15 participants, we will choose two winners so be sure to tell your friends to play along! 

You have two weeks to play along. Deadline to enter is Friday,  May 9th, 2014 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog on Monday, May 12th.

Are you ready to play along and get your paws inky? 

• Create a NEW project (card or other paper craft item) based on the sketch above.

• Your project MUST use at least one Newton's Nook Designs stamped image (or free digital stamp - check out our Freebies page).

• Post your project to your blog or to an online photo gallery such as Flickr or splitcoaststampers (on splitcoast please use keywords newtonsnook and IPC09).

• Link back to this challenge (if posting in an online gallery copy the link into the photo description). 

• Submit your project to this challenge using the InLinkz widget below. You must submit a DIRECT link to your post page.

• Have more than one great idea? You can enter more than once! Just link up each card separately. 
• TIP: Please make sure your photo in focus  - We can't pick you as a winner if we can't see your card clearly because your photo is blurry!

Tessa Wise created this fun using our Love Grows set. What a perfect card for Mother's Day! 

Samantha Mann created this fun card using the the banner from the Winged Wishes with the bird from the Snow Day set. I love the soft colors behind the bird!

Guest Designer, Elena Joldersma created this fun card using our Versatile Vases set. Those little flowers make the perfect pops of color. 

Design Team Member, Christine Drogt created this fun using our Love Grows Set. I love those watercolored roses! So pretty! 

Larissa Heskett created this pretty card using the mason jar and flower from the Versatile Vases set. She also used the doodle line stamp from the Love à la Carte stamp set to make the fun pattern on the bottom! 

Here's one from me - I created this spring tulip card using the Easter Scramble set. To stamp the fill on the tulips, I just flipped the stamp over and used the back side of the stamp to create a solid shape!

And one more - for this one, I used the vases from the Versatile Vases set and paper-pierced them to add some simple color to this card. I colored the flowers with copics.

Two Lovely Flower Cards by Christine Drogt!

Beautiful Flowers by Christine! 

Today I'm sharing TWO beautiful cards by Christine Drogt using our newest floral sets! For the first card she used the rose and petals from our new Love Grows set to create this gorgeous get well card. I love that pretty background she created. The sentiment "get well soon" is from the Spring Showers set.

This second card features stamps from the Versatile Vases.  She created a fun backround and added cute flowers in pots and the "thinking of you" sentiment  curved around the edge! This card is so fun! I love the bright, modern feel!

Gorgeous Vellum Roses by Samantha Mann

Samantha does it again with Vellum & Roses!

If you haven't noticed,  Design Team Member Samantha Mann has been rockin' the vellum look on her cards lately - and she does such a great job of it! I love how she embossed all the roses from our Love Grows stamp set on the vellum panel in white and added color behind them - It looks so soft and pretty! She didn't add a sentiment to it  - so it can be a "go to" card to grab for any upcoming occasion - Mother's Day, a Birthday, a wedding or shower... That is such a good idea! Does anyone else make cards without sentiments for that same reason?

Sweet Shaker Card by Valerie Ward

Sweet Spring Shaker Card!

This fun shaker card by Valerie Ward will definitely brighten your day! Valerie combined the squirrel image from the Sweetheart Tails set with the words and flower from the new Versatile Vases stamp set and the grass from the Wild Child to create this fun scene! These fun bright colors and patterns are so cheerful - it makes me smile!

3 Adorable cards by Elena Joldersma

Today I'm sharing three super cute cards by our Guest Designer Elena Joldersma. This first card is such a fun idea! She took the words "mom" from our Love Grows set and "child" from our Wild Child set and "best buds" from our Versatile Vases set to create the cute sentiment!  I love it! The bears are also from the Wild Child Set. 

Here's another cute bear card using the bears from our Wild Child set. I like how she used the patterned paper to create a scene for them! 

The third card uses that cute little owl from our Sweetheart Tails set. I love the soft pretty colors she used on this one! It's so sweet and pretty!
