Hello Newtons Nook Fans!
I’m Rosie Lopez and I’ve been cardmaking since 2017. I live in the San Fransisco Bay Area in California with my husband and dog, Salem. We have 3 adult children and are newly empty nesters. I was a scrapbooker and decorative/memory planner before a planner friend gifted me a stamp kit. I fell hard and fast. One thing about me as a crafter, I can’t make just one card. I usually do small batch projects.Blog: Pocketful of Rosie

Dog Themed Birthday Cards
I am so excited and honored to work with Newton’s Nook. I enjoy working with small businesses because of the feeling of community and belonging that comes with it.
The cards I created today feature:
Dog Birthday Party Stamp Set
Dog Birthday Party Die Set
Birthday Time Paper Pack
Frames & Flags Die Set
My dog, Salem is turning 14 in July so my project today is inspired by him. I used the Dog Birthday Party Stamp Set, it is so fun and whimsical. There are 8 images of celebrating dogs and I used them all on my project. I set up the stamps in my Misti and stamped it 3 times before coloring with my Olo markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
I used the Frames & Flags Die Set to die cut some of the sheets from Birthday Time Paper Pack.
I used the large scallop die to die cut the pattern paper. I used the small rounded rectangle from white cardstock and arranged the 8 dog images around the edge leaving a spot in the middle for the sentiment. I did pop the dogs up with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink in the center.
I layered the pattern paper panel on a top folding card base and then layered the scalloped paper and rounded rectangle.
I also created two bonus cards using the leftover images I colored. The bonus cards were created with all the same products. I just arranged them differently on the card base.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today, I hope you enjoyed my projects. I am looking forward to sharing more projects in the future.
