Taco Cats for Cinco de MEOW!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! To celebrate, we have a fun kitty themed card to share by Larissa

This fun card features two of our most favorite things: Cats and Tacos! To create this adorable card she used our Newton Loves Tacos Stamp Set, stamping the image of the kitty drinking a margarita and the kitty eating a taco! So fun! She also stamped a couple of tiny tacos shaped like cats and celebratory birthday hats for the kitties! She colored all the images with alcohol markers and added lots of fun little dot accents with a white gel pen. Then she cut all the images out using the coordinating Newton Loves Tacos Die Set

For her card she created a fun scene for the kitties to sit in, inking two colors over the oval background, cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set. She also used ourFrames & Flags Die Set to cut a background panel from light pink card stock and inked some colorful confetti over the top using our Confetti Stencil. Then she used a piece of acetate the size of the whole card front to layer over the background, adding confetti and beads and making the background into a shaker! So festive!

The finishing touch is the message "Cinco de MEOW!" Which was added in the lower left corner. She embossed it onto a small vellum banner that was cut out using one of the small banners from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set

We hope that everyone has a Happy Cinco de Mayo and gets a chance to have a taco today! To say hello to Larissa and see more of her creations, you can visit her over at her blog, Larissa Heskett Designs.
