Hi ya everyone Melissa here today to share an adorable new release card made with Newton’s 4th of July Stamp Set and the new Fireworks Stencil! Let’s get started!

I wanted simple for today’s card to showcase little Newton on his firecracker from the Newton’s 4th of July Stamp Set. I started by stamping Newton in alcohol safe black ink and then coloring him with reds, blues and grays! I also fussy cut him, but you could use the coordinating Newton's 4th of July Die Set to cut him out much easier!

Next, I wanted to create a watercolor type background. I adhered watercolor paper to a board and used ink sprays to color a paper with reds and blues, adding water to thin out the color and allow it to spread on the paper.

After that panel dried, I cut it to 5.5 inch x 4.25 inch and adhered to an A2 card base. Next, I used the Frames & Flags Die Set to cut out a white piece of paper to place on top.

The largest die in this set cuts a stitched edge, so I taped off the edge and then used ink in red and blue with the Fireworks Stencil. I wanted a light and airy appearance.

However, this stencil works so fabulous in so many ways!  The ability to ink blend, then move your stencil slightly and add sparkle paste is so fun.  Also, sparkle paste on black paper for a night sky is also so beautiful.  I adore this stencil so much.

I adhered my firework layer to the card base and watercolor panel.  Last I stamped "celebrate" from the Newton’s 4th of July Stamp Set and then popped up little Newton with foam dots for a completed card!
