Hello Lovely Card by May Guest Designer Cassie Tezak

Good morning, everyone, and happy Monday! I'm back with my final guest post for Newton's Nook. I'm so bummed my guest spot is up, but I had so much fun working with them this month :) My last card is full of color and uses the stamp set Lovely Blooms in a unique way. Let's get to it!

I started by stamping the jar from the set on some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I wanted them to look like they had some fun, bright drinks in them, so I used my Copics to achieve this look. In the blue jar I even drew in some fruit at the bottom for a fun fresh twist. I added some bubbles to the jars as well so they looked a little more like liquid. I also stamped one of the stems from the set to be used as a straw and colored them in. I cut them all out and ran a black marker on the edges to finish them off.

I cut down another piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and pulled out my Distress Oxide Inks. I used Worn Lipstick and Broken China to make a bright, bold background. To make some of the background purple I mixed the pink and blue together--which is is so easy with Distress Oxides! I sprayed water droplets over the ink and dabbed it with a paper towel to get the textured splatter look.

I die cut the word 'hello from some white cardstock and added it over the right and middle jar. I also stamped 'lovely' from the same set on black cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed white embossing powder over it. I cut it down and added it under the 'hello' die. To finish off the card I added Nuvo Crystal drops in white and clear all over the card and Glossy Accents to the straws. And that's it for my last card for Newton's Nook! I hope you enjoyed my projects for them. I know I've had so much fun making them! I hope you are all having a great Memorial Day, and have a great week!
