Wish You Were Here Card by March Guest Designer Eloise Blue

Hello everyone! Eloise here and today I'm here with my last post for being a guest designer for Newton's Nook. It's been such a great month, I've loved creating with these stamps and thank you to Newton's Nook for having me this month!

For my card today I'm using the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp once again and doing a fun bubble watercolour background.

To start off my card today, I stamped out little Newton in the floaty ring, coloured him in with some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut him out.

For my background, I did the bubble watercolour technique. For this I just used a bowl, some water, dishwashing liquid and then some Dr. PH Martins Hydrus Watercolours. I first mixed the water and dishwashing liquid in the bowl, grabbed a straw, blew some bubbles, added some colour on top of the bubbles using the dropper included with the bottle of watercolours, blew more bubbles using my straw and swiped my watercolour cardstock through and pounced it on top. I repeated this several times to get the intended look. I then dried it off with a heat tool and you get this fun watercolour bubble look.

Once my background was dry and my image was coloured, I adhered the image onto my background with foam tape and then stamped the 'wish you were here' sentiment with black ink directly onto the background. I then adhered the entire panel onto a white card base and the card was complete.

Super simple card for today but I absolutely love this background look, I love this technique!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for Newton's Nook for having me this month! I had a lot of fun playing with your stamps. :)
