Dream Themed Watercolor Cards by Jennifer Jackson

Watercolor Cards!

Today I'm sharing a fun do of watercolored cards I created using our  Adventure Awaits stamp set! To create these cards I cut out some squares of watercolor paper and created fun backgrounds using Ken Oliver dry watercolors. I just sprinkled the watercolor powders down on my craft mat, spritzed it with some water and then pressed the paper over them. This is such a fun way to create fun watercolor backgrounds and the colors are super bright! Once the paper was dry, I stamped in black ink over the top using the arrows, feathers and sentiments from our Adventure Awaits stamp set.

Then I created two cards with the same layout. I chose a solid background cardstock that matched the inks, then added a small strip of patterned paper, some matching washi tape and gold and cream bakers twine. One was teal and green and the other was red and pink.

I love how these turned out. They were pretty easy once I decided on the layout for the cards. You could easily make a whole set of these to give as a gift - or just make a bunch to have on hand for when you need a card to send out!
