June Reveals - Day 1 - Playful Pandas Stamp Set + TWO new Stencils!

Today is the first reveal day for our June Release! This month we are releasing FIVE new stamp sets,  FOUR new die sets,  AND TWO new Stencils! Keep checking back each day to see more! Today we are starting things out with the gorgeous new Playful Pandas Stamp Set and the new Serene Stripes and Sunscape Stencils! We are giving the Blooming Botanicals Stamp stamp set away one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Playful Pandas

Get ready for "Panda"-monium with this 4x6 stamp set. Create adorable cards for birthdays, friendship greetings, and more with these sweet Pandas. The balloon, bowl of noodles and bamboo accessories will fit perfectly onto the outstretched arms of the Pandas. Don't forget to add on a funny panda themed sentiment too!

TWO new Stencil designs!

This month we're adding TWO new beautiful stencils to our product line! The Serene Stripes Stencil (below left) features rows of lines that will be perfect for creating backgrounds and textures! The Sunscape Stencil (below right) will become a fast favorite for creating cheerful landscapes and more. Use the stencil vertically on a card front to include the landscape with hills along the bottom. If you prefer to just use the sun rays, turn the stencil 90 degrees and the sun rays will fill your card front without the hills.

• Our premium custom stencils can be used with your favorite spray mists, inks, embossing pastes, chalks, paints, and more to add pattern and texture to your paper crafting projects.

Amanda created this amazing card using three of the pandas from the Playful Pandas Stamp Set. She cut them out using the coordinating die set and added them scattered over the background that was created using the new Serene Stripes Stencil. 

This sweet panda card was created by Larissa. She used the tumbling panda from the Playful Pandas Stamp Set as her focal point and layered hi over a heart and a lovely distress inked background! She even added a tiny heart onto his butt! So cute!

Maria created this fun trio of bears in an fabulous shaker scene using the three panda images from the Playful Pandas Stamp Set. She used the new Sunscape Stencil with pink ink for the background and added layers of clouds for them to tumble in using the Sky Borders Die Set! And, of course, lots of bamboo too!

Isn't the panda so cute tumbling through the bamboo on this card by Holly? She used our new Playful Pandas Stamp Set for stamp the panda and bamboo and layered them over the fun background. The stripes in the background were created using our new Serene Stripes Stencil.

Hungry? This adorable card was created by Samantha. She used the fun bear with his bowl of noodles and bamboo from the new Playful Pandas Stamp Set. She added a fun distressed background and the "Sorry for what I said when I was hungry" sentiment! So fun!

The bear slides down the hill on this playful card by Naki! She created a background using our new Sunscape Stencil and layered a second hill along the bottom for the bear to slide on using our Land Borders Die Set. The cute panda is from the new Playful Pandas Stamp Set. What a fun interactive card!

Juliana created a trio of bears who are perfect for celebrating a birthday! She used the pandas and balloons from the new Playful Pandas Stamp Set and added in accessories from our Sending Hugs Stamp Set and birthday hats from our Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set. She added the "Big Wishes" Sentiment from our Holding Happiness Stamp Set and used the Confetti Stencil for her background! 

Ellen created this sweet panda card using the fun tumbling panda image from our new Playful Pandas Stamp Set. She paired him with some bamboo and the fun sentiment inside a heart shaped scene. Then she layered it over the fun striped background that was created using our new Serene Stripes Stencil. 

This delightful card by Tatiana is sure to make you smile! She used the panda, along with a trio of balloons and the bowl of noodles from our new Playful Pandas Stamp Set to make a cute little scene. She layered it over a circle that was stenciled using the new Serene Stripes Stencil along with some sequins and the "hey there" sentiment! It really pops off the white background!

This striking black and white card by Jennifer is so clever! She used a fun striped background and layered the cute panda and bamboo over it using our new Playful Pandas Stamp Set. Isn't it so cute how she added a bunch of bamboo for a fun pop of green?

Congrats on Your New Home Card by Jennifer Jackson

Happy New Home!

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing a fun card that I created for a friend who recently moved into a new home! My friend also has several kitties so I thought it would be purr-fect to create a card using our Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set. 

I started by stamping the images of kitties playing in boxes from our Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set onto Bristol paper. Then I colored the kitties and boxes using zig watercolor markers. I cut the images out using the coordinating Newton Loves Boxes Die Set. 

Next, I knew I wanted to create a scene for the kitties that looked like it was inside a house. I cut out a stitched rectangle for my scene using our Frames & Flags Die Set and then I masked off the top and added brown ink to make a floor. Next, I used our Serene Stripes Stencil and to add stripes to  the top section of the wall. Doesn't this pattern look a little like it could be wallpaper?

I then arranged all the images over the scene and added the sentiment "congrats on your new home!" onto a white banner that was die cut using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

I framed the whole thing with some heart patterned paper from our Coffee House Stories Paper Pad, cutting it out with our Frames & Flags Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. I love how this turned out and I think the new home owners enjoyed it as well! 

I hope this card has inspired you to be creative and find ways to create fun and unique scenes on your cards!

Baby Congratulations Card by Amanda Wilcox

Baby Laundry Card!

Today Amanda has created an adorable card to celebrate a new baby featuring several fun products together. The star of the show on her card is the adorable bear bib from our Bitty Bibs Stamp Set. She colored the image with fun bright pastels and gave the bear a shiny nose! Then she used the Baby Bibs Die Set and to add the fun scalloped edge behind the image and the bow! 

For her adorable card background she layered two stencils. First she used our Serene Stripes Stencil to add a layer of blue stripes. Then she layered fuzzy clouds over the top using our Cloudy Sky Stencil with some flocking! How fun! The whole patterned panel was cut out using the Frames & Flags Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. 

Then, she put all the pieces together and included a fun yellow frame around the bib that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. She used the same die set to cut the ticket shape that holds the sentiment.

Floral Get Well Card with Guest Designer Brennan Keane

Today we are sharing another post with our very special guest. We featuring the work of the young and talented Brennan Keane! Brennan is a big fan of creating cards featuring flowers and we are enjoying all his lovely floral cards over on instagram at bkd_creations! Today we are excited to share a card he created especially for our blog! Keep reading on to view his lovely project today!

 

Hello everyone again!
My name is Brennan and I am a 15 year old crafter from Boston!
This is my second guest design for Newton’s Nook and it has been an absolutely amazing experience! In almost all of my paper crafting creations, flowers are involved. For this guest design, I wanted to use one of the many flower stamps from Newton’s Nook. After looking through all of the great options, I decided on the Lovely Blooms stamp set! 

I first stamped out the larger of the flowers, the stem, and the large leaf. Instead of using my typical ink (which is distress ink in the color black soot) to stamp the flower, I used the VersaFine Clair ink pad in the color Nocturne.

I then covered the ink with clear embossing powder and heated it up. I then colored the flower with copic markers. I used RV10 as the base and then blended R81 on top to get the gradient. I used G24 for the leaf and stem and added Y15 for the centers of each flower. After everything was colored, I cut the images out with the coordinating dies and assembled the flower. I used liquid glue, but you could use whatever adhesive is your favorite! I just like the extra time the liquid glue gives me to adjust the pieces if needed.

To add interest to the card, I blended some of Catherine Pooler’s ink in the color Garden Party through the Serene Stripes Stencil. After the background was created, I stamped the Get Well Soon sentiment from the Daffodils Stamp Set (another one of my favorites)! While I don’t do this too often, I decided to pop up the card with foam squares. To put the finishing touch on this card, I added a few green embellishment gems and a black border to the card front before gluing it to the card base!

Galloping By Card by Amanda Wilcox

Galloping By...

Today we are galloping by with a happy hello on this card by Amanda! This fun card features the image of a horse from our Neigh Stamp Set, galloping along over some fun colorful stripes! Amanda colored the image of the horse and cut it out using the coordinating Neigh Die Set to add him to her card. She also added a couple of hay bales using an image from our Moo Stamp Set, cut out with the coordinating Moo Die Set. 

The background was created by stenciling stripes using our Serene Stripes Stencil over a  postage edged panel that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. She finishes off this fun layout by adding the sentiment, also from the Neigh Stamp Set along the bottom edge. 

Amanda also added a fun message on the card inside. She finishes off the "Galloping by" sentiment from the front with the "to say howdy" sentiment on the inside! Another horse finishes off the fun! Both images are also from the Neigh Stamp Set.

This stunning card was created by Naki using the new Loveable Llamas Stamp Set. She created a fun pastel background for the llama and added fun accessories to dress him up, including shiny gold sunglasses! So fun!

Ellen created an awesome scene using our new products today! She created the sunny background and green hills using the new Sunscape Stencil. She added on the llama and some fun accessories from the new Loveable Llamas Stamp Set. She also used our Framework Die Set for the postage edged border. 

Samantha created a colorful birthday card using our new Loveable Llamas Stamp Set. She used distress inks to create a bright yellow background and added the llama carrying gifts in front. The rainbow washi tape up the side gives the perfect finishing touch! 

Tatiana created this bright and colorful birthday card featuring the llama from the new Loveable Llamas Stamp Set. She colored the blanket and pot of cacti in vivid bright colors and layered the image over a cheerful sunset. For the sunset, she used our new Sunscape Stencil, masked off to just a circle shape! So cheerful! 

Juliana used both llamas from the new Loveable Llamas Stamp Set on her card today. She added some fun accessories to them and layered them over a piece of scallop edged vellum that was cut out using the Framework Die Set. She also used the new Serene Stripes Stencil for that fun background of green stripes!

This cheerful birthday card was created by Jennifer. She used the Sunscape Stencil to create a bright and cheerful sunny background and layered the llama from the new Loveable Llamas Stamp Set over the top. The sunglasses on the llama really help give the feeling of a bright sunny day! 

This festive birthday card was created by Maria. She used the llama from the new Loveable Llamas Stamp Set as the center of her card, adding some balloons stamped from the Playful Pandas stamp set (revealed here yesterday). She also created a border of cacti on the top and bottom of her card using images from our Cultivated Cacti Stamp Set! So cool! 

This card by Amanda really has an awesome summer vibe! She created a warm sunny background using the new Sunscape Stencil in shades of orange. Then she added the llama and his accessories from the Loveable Llamas Stamp Set in front. Isn't the fun speckled coloring on the llamas fur so cool!?
