June Reveals - Day 3 - Newton Hangs Out & Newton's Picnic Stamp Sets

Today is our third reveal day for our June Release and today we are sharing TWO fun new Newton stamps! Newton Hangs Out

Newton is pigging out on his picnic lunch on this card by Samantha! She used the image of the kitty in the basket from our new Newton's Picnic Stamp Set and paired it with the image of the kitty with a full belly from our Newton's Thanksgiving Stamp Set. So funny! She added in a sunny background using our Sunscape Stencil and layered clouds over it using our Cloudy Sky Stencil. She also added in grass and hills using our Land Borders Die Set.

This little square card is by Larissa is perfect for showcasing the Newton Hangs Out Stamp Set. She stamped the kitty in the tree from the set and colored it in vibrant neutral tones, adding texture to the kitty with some stippling. She created a square card in shades of teal, layering the die cuts from our Frames Squared Die Set. Love that color combo!

Andrea created this gorgeous picnic card featuring the kitty digging into this picnic lunch from our new Newton's Picnic Stamp Set.  She colored the image in fun vibrant colors and added it to her card over an awesome plaid background. She used our Plaid Stencil Set to create the fun plaid background. She cut the background panel out using the scalloped edge die from our Frames & Flags Die Set. the cute sentiment was stamped into a bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. 

This card by Holly is sure to cheer up a friend who needs a smile! She created this charming scene using the kitty in the tree from our Newton Hangs Out Stamp Set. She colored the image in fun colors and added gel pen details. She layered the image over a simple cloudy background using a mask created from our Sky Borders Die Set and layering in some die cut clouds too!

This delightful picnic card was created by Amanda. She used the image from our new Newton's Picnic Stamp Set,  coloring it in fun, bright colors and paring it with fun red and white polka dots! She also added in a bit of grass using our Land Borders Die Set.

This adorable card by Ellen is perfect for sending inspirational wishes to a friend! She used the cute image of the kitty in the tree from our new Newton Hangs Out Stamp Set. She layered the image over a sweet pink sky that was inked onto a rounded square, cut out with our Frames Squared Die Set. She also added a woodgrain background using our Hardwood Stencil and framed it with a scalloped edge using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

I hope Newton doesn't let all the bugs ruin his picnic! Zsofia created this darling card featuring the image from our Newton's Picnic Stamp Set. It's so cute how added in a ton of little antes, dragonflies and butterflies too! To create a scene she included a line of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. She also added in a fun scalloped edge and frame using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

That kitty better hang onto this tall branch tight! This adorable card was created by Naki! She used the image from our new Newton Hangs Out Stamp Set, stamping the tree trunk twice to make the tree longer.  She colored the image with no line watercoloring to give it lovely soft colors. She gave that kitty fun google eyes too! So cute!

If life's a picnic, Newton is certainly enjoying it! Tatiana created this adorable card using the image from our new Newton's Picnic Stamp Set and coloring it in gorgeous bright colors! She added the image, layering it over a circle and added some lime green grass using our Land Borders Die Set. The fun stipe of leaves in the background was created using our Tropical Leaves Stencil.

Maria created this loveable card featuring that kitty in the tree from our Newton Hangs Out Stamp Set.  She colored the image in fun colors, adding stripes to the kitty.  Then she layered the image with scallops on top and bottom and sunshine in the corner. She added the "Because Cats" Sentiment from our new Cat-itude Stamp Set for the purr-fect finishing touch!

April Reveals - Day 4 - Woodland Picnic Stamp Set

Today is our final reveal day for our June Release and today we are going on a picnic with some of our favorite friends on our Woodland Picnic Stamp Set! We are having a giveaway today too, so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Our loveable woodland friends are gathering for a picnic on this adorable 4x6 Stamp Set. These sweet little friends are perfect for creating cute picnic scenes, complete with fun picnic snacks! This woodland scene by Zsofia will steal your heart! She featured several of the forest friends from our new Woodland Picnic Stamp Set and created a scene for them to have their picnic in. She used our Forest Scene Builder Die Set to add in trees and colored a die cut cloudy border from our Sky Borders Die Set green to make it look like tree tops! She also added grass along the bottom edge using our Land Borders Die Set. Did you spy the squirrel hiding in the tree tops? So cute!

This sweet bear and squirrel are enjoying picnic goodies together, complete with the usual picnic ants! Samantha created this fun and whimsical card using the bear and squirrel from our Woodland Picnic Stamp Set and adding an awesome stipe of color behind the critters using distress inks! Love how vibrant this looks!

Andrea created a whole forest of friends sharing a picnic! She used the bear, fox and bunny from our new Woodland Picnic Stamp Set, nestled in a forest of birch trees that were cut out using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set. She also added some grass using our Land Borders Die Set. What an adorable picnic scene!

The deer and squirrel are ready to share a picnic on this card by Tatiana. She used the cute critters from our Woodland Picnic Stamp Set. Isn't that lime green picnic basket so fun? She created her own gingham pattern using our Plaid Stencil Set and overlapping it. She cut the squares out using our Frames Squared Die Set and added a bit of grass with our Land Borders Die Set. Completely adorable!

Larissa created an adorable picnic for all the sweet forest friends in our new Woodland Picnic Stamp Set.  She used our Frames Squared Die Set to create a picnic blanket for them all to fit on. She colored them in gorgeous neutrals adding accents and cheeks with a white gel pen. The sentiment is held inside a cute ticket shape from our Framework Die Set.

The fox on this card by Ellen is so cozy enjoying his lunch in the woods! She created this fun scene featuring the fox, soda and ants from our new Woodland Picnic Stamp Set. Then she added in hills using our Land Borders Die Set. She placed some little trees from our Fox Hollow Stamp Set in the hills and layered it all over a sunny background that was created using our Sunscape Stencil. She die cut the square layers using our Frames Squared Die Set.

This sweet and simple card by Holly is perfect for sending to a friend who has made your life a picnic! She featured the deer, bear and fox from the new Woodland Picnic Stamp Set. She left the deer and bear uncolored and highlighted the image of the fox by coloring him in gorgeous tones! An adorable way to make an image stand out!

Naki created the sweetest picnic scene using all the critters from the new Woodland Picnic Stamp Set. She colored all those lovely friends in soft shades of neutral colors and added rosy pinks to their cheeks! She created a landscape for them using the hill from our Land Borders Die Set and added in a bunch of ants to make the picnic complete! 

Maria created this delightful scene featuring three forest friends from our Woodland Picnic Stamp Set. These cuties are so adorable eating their picnic foods nestled in grassy hills. She added all those little ants along the bottom for a fun border. She completed her scene with a cloudy sky and sun and added the sentiment, also from the Woodland Picnic Stamp Set in the sky. 

With so many cute critters in this picnic, Amanda wanted to feature them all so she created a fun long panoramic card! She colored each of the fun critters from our Woodland Picnic Stamp Set and lined them all up across the card, layering them over hills that we cut out using our Land Borders Die Set. The gorgeous sunny background was created using our Sunscape Stencil. So gorgeous!

Life's a Picnic Card by July Guest Designer Ildi Imrefalvi

The new picnic themed stamp sets were love for the first sight for me, I immediately knew

that these cuties would appear in one of my projects while guesting in July.

This time I decided to create a large sized card - 5,5 X 7 inch - with a bunch of colored

images. As a start I Copic colored and fussy cut images from the sets Woodland Picnic and

Newton’s Picnic. Plaid Stencil Set was perfect to create a blanket for my critters to sit on. I

applied red and blue distress inks onto a piece of white cardstock through stencil 1 and 2

and drew tassels on two sides with a black fineliner before cutting it around.

To create a super colorful woodland background I took my favorite pine trees from Winter

Memories and stamped them in a row with various colors of Memento inks making sure that

the trees are overlapping each other. Fussy cutting this 7 inch row of pine trees may take a

little time :).

For this busy and colorful scene I wanted to have a cloudy blue sky in story book style. So I

dabbed embossing ink through my Cloudy Sky Stencil onto a white piece of cardstock and heat set

with clear embossing powder. This way my clouds stayed white after applying blue distress

ink onto the whole surface.

Before assembling my card I white heat embossed my favorite sentiment from Woodland

Picnic stamp set onto the green card front as well as some ants heading to the picnic basket. I

adhered all the background elements with liquid glue while the stamped and colored images

got a little dimension with foam dots.

Let's go on a Picnic!

Today Amanda has created the cutest picnic scene, featuring a combination of images that go perfectly together! She started out by combining the bear and squirrel from the Woodland Picnic Stamp Set and with the kitty digging into the picnic basket from our Newton's Picnic Stamp Set. These images really work great together to create a fun picnic scene! She used the coordinating Woodland Picnic Die Set and Newton's Picnic Die Set to cut the images out so they were ready to layer over the scene.

To set the scene she created layers of hills and grass using our Hills & Grass Stencil with green and brown inks.  In the sky, she used our Cloudy Sky Stencil  inking it with white pigment ink and then heat embossing an iridescent glitter embossing powder over the top.

Now that the scene was set, she layered a picnic blanket along the bottom, created using our Plaid Stencil Set. Over the blanket, she layered all the lovely critter images. To finish the scene out, she added a row of ants from the Woodland Picnic Stamp Set, climbing over the hill to look for picnic snacks!


Here is a close up so you can see how cool those glittery clouds look! She also added the sentiment "food, friends, & Sunshine" from the Woodland Picnic Stamp Set, stamped onto a ticket shape that was cut out using our Framework Die Set.

Newton's Picnic Card by Maria Russell

It's a Good Day for a Picnic! 

We hope that today's card by Maria will inspire you to have a good day! Today she created an adorable picnic scene featuring our retiring Newton's Picnic Stamp Set. Isn't it so cute how that kitty has his rear sticking out of the picnic basket while he dives in to find all the goodies? She colored this adorable image and used the coordinating Newton's Picnic Die Set to cut it out. 

For her card base she created a circle window to hold the scene and inked a blue sky background. She also added birch trees using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set and a layer of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. This is the perfect woodsy setting for the picnic image. She also added some ants trailing off the side and the sentiment "It's a good day to have a good day" from our Woodland Picnic Stamp Set (also retiring). The simple white card base really lets this scene pop!

Love You More than Treats Card and a Farewell to Andrea Shell

Puppy Treats & a Farewell to Andrea!

Today Andrea is sharing a beautiful French themed puppy card! 

She features the cute french bulldog from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set, surrounded by macarons. She did some lovely coloring on the puppy, giving him a fun red and blue outfit, complete with a French beret! Then she used creative masking to surround this cute french pup with a whole stack of macarons using our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She stamped them in light colored ink, layering and masking a large stack of them them around the puppy. She colored the macarons using the no-line coloring technique to give them soft edges! They look so gorgeous, and good enough to eat!  

She also added the sentiment "love you more than treats" over the top from our Say Woof Stamp Set. The whole scene is framed with a scalloped edge that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. What a lovely French inspired card! 

I am sad to say that this project marks the LAST post for Andrea Shell as part of our Design Team at Newton's Nook Designs! We have truly enjoyed having Andrea on our team for TWO incredible years! She also inspired us before that as a previous member of our Inky Paws Challenge Team. Andrea has inspired us with her creative cards and beautiful coloring skills on every project! We have loved every minute! We are so sad to see her go but we wish her the very best as she continues to grow in her creative journey.
