September Reveals - Day 2 - Creepy Cameos & Cameo Frame Die Set

Today is our second reveal day for our September Release! This month we have some awesome new Halloween products and we sharing one of them today. Today's featured set is called Creepy Cameos! This set has a coordinating die set and there is also a fun Cameo Frame Die that works with it! We are giving the Creepy Cameos stamp set away one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Creepy Cameos 

Create fun Halloween projects with this spooky 4x6 stamp set! This set includes a cameo frame and four fun creepy silhouettes that fit inside. All the included sentiments will also fit inside the frame. Stamp the creepy couples to use on Halloween greetings, treats, party invites and more! Jennifer created this lovely shabby chic card using the silhouette from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set with the Cameo Frame Die Set! The distressing on the paper too really gives a fun spooky vintage feel to the whole card!

Tatiana created Halloween Luminaries! She started with paper bags and decorated them using the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set and Cameo Frame Die Set. Then she added a little battery operated tea light candle inside! Won't these be so pretty and spooky at night?

This card by Amanda is so spooky and fun! She stamped the silhouette and frame images from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set and trimmed them out with the coordinating die set. I love that metallic gold mirror! The pop of red is the perfect finishing touch too!

Larissa created an adorable set of treat bags using the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set! She did a "mirror" effect on these so they look really neat when you move them in the light. Make sure to visit her blog today to see more about how she did this!

This spooky Halloween card is by Maria! She used the silhouettes from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set and cut frames out of awesome textured paper using the Cameo Frame Die Set to make them look like real frames! 

Naki created this spooky couple, embossing the images from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set and trimming them out with the coordinating die. She added them over a black heart. The bats stamped along the side add the spooky fun!

Samantha stamped the silhouette from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set using multiple colors of ink to create that awesome ombré effect! Then she layered it with a white frame cut out using the Cameo Frame Die Set. The beautiful purple watercolored background coordinates perfectly with it too!

Ellen created this awesome card using the silhouettes from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set over a fun distressed background! She added a die cute Cameo Frame Die Set to hold the sentiment in the center! She also created a fun treat jar label using this set!

Juliana stamped the silhouettes from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set to create this spooky duo! I love the metallic paper she used for the backgrounds! It looks like a Halloween mirror! 

Holly used such fun bright colors on her card! I love the way she added the silhouette images from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set over lime green ovals! She added pretty black frames cut out with the Cameo Frame Die Set around them too!

Spooky Halloween Card and Treat Jar by Juliana Michaels

Spooky Halloween Treats! 

Today we have a fun set of Halloween goodies by Juliana using our new Creepy Cameos Stamp Set! She created a fun card by cutting out three frames with Cameo Frame Die Set and layering them over  orange and green shapes cut with the Creepy Cameos Die Set. Then she embossed the creepy skeletons with white on black cardstock and trimmed them our using the Cameo Frame Die Set. She also cut out a white oval using the Cameo Frame Die Set and stamped the "eat, drink, and be scary" sentient inside it. This looks so great against the purple card base! She created another fun framed sentiment using the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set and Cameo Frame Die Set as a tag for her jar of candy corn! It would be fun to create a bunch of jars like this for a Halloween party with different treats inside!

Spooky Halloween Wishes by October Guest Designer Waleska Galindo

Today we have our first post from our October Guest Designer, Waleska Galindo! We are so excited to have Waleska designing with us this month! She is fabulous and creating cards with adorable scenes and fun bright colors and we can't wait to share what she creates with our stamps! Hello my name is Waleska Galindo. I live in the beautiful Guatemala City, Central America, I am probably the only stamper around here.  I have a wonderful husband and 2 full of energy kids. I have always loved art and making things with my hands.  I am a Graphic Designer that fell in love with cardmaking 3 years ago, I think I just enjoy the process of being creative, so when I discover the Cardmaking world just fit me perfectly.   I am a very passionate in all I do and stamping and cardmaking are not the exception.  I love making scene cards and using stamps in creative ways. 

Besides cardmaking I am also a Fashion Designer, Movie lover and Stamp Collector... You can find me blogging at craftinglovew.blogspot.com but I mostly share my cards on my Instagram craftinglovew.  I am super excited to be a Guest Designer for Newton's Nook and I am truly thankful for the opportunity!! Specially for this Halloween Season which is my favorite.  That is me!!! 

Hello Friends Waleska from craftinglovew here... 

I am so excited to be Newton's Nook October Guest Designer thank you so much for inviting me. I first have to admit I am a Halloween lover so this past Newton release was just too awesome and perfect for me, I am using a lot of the new stamps and I am having so much fun with them.

CARD DETAILS: 

For my first card I used almost all of the stamps from the Spooky Skeletons Stamp Set. I love to create little scenes on my cards, so the idea for this one was a very Spooky Halloween Decoration. I first stamped the skeletons in Onyx Black Versafine ink and put Black Sparkle embossing powder to have shinning Spooky Skeletons!!! I cut them and set them aside to make the background.

For the background I used Spiced Marmalade Oxide ink and some water splashes.  I also sponged the edges with Walnut Stain regular Distress Ink to give the card a more spooky feel. I stamped in the center of the card the amazing frame or mirror (you can use it for both) from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set with Versafine Onyx ink and  also put Black Sparkle embossing powder to unify the sparkle vibe on my card.  I create the inside part of the frame by cutting an oval from gray cardstock.

I finally cut a strip of gray cardstock and sponge it with Walnut Stain Distress ink to create the shelf for all the Halloween Spooky Decor and raised all the images with 3D foam... What do you think? Creepy enough? I just wish I have this awesome skeletons to actually decor my living room like this...  I hope you like my card and get some inspiration to start creating halloween cards.

Newton's Nook Designs & Xyron Inspiration Week - Day 1 with Jennifer & Samantha

This week we are partnering with Xyron for a very awesome inspiration week! Each day we will have fresh inspiration using Newton's Nook Designs products with Xyron adhesives on the NND blog and Xyron will be featuring  projects as well on the Xyron facebook page! Today we are featuring projects by Jennifer and Samantha! 

First up is the is this gorgeous card by Jennifer:

For her card, Jennifer used our Cameo Frame Die Set to create a gorgeous focal point. She cut the intricate frame out of a piece of glitter paper and used the 3" Sticker Maker from Xyron to make die cut piece into a sticker. Creating a sticker makes it so easy to attach an intricate piece like this to your card! She then added the "hello" sentiment and the lovely flowers stamping them from our Peony Blooms Stamp Set. Isn't that bloom so lovely on embossed in silver on vellum? She used the Peony Blooms Die Set to trim them out and layered them over the frame with some silver string. She mounted the whole piece onto a silver and white background panel.

Next, we have a beautiful star-gazing card by Samantha:

For her card, Samantha used the image of the kitty looking out into the sky through a telescope from our Cosmic Newton Stamp Set. She colored the kitty and cut him out using the coordinating Cosmic Newton Die Set. For her card base she created some hills using our Land Borders Die Set and added some an awesome circle filled with stars that she created using our Starfield Stencil. She added some star stickers on the sky too. To create the stickers she stamped and die cut the little stars from the Cosmic Newton Stamp Set and then used the 1.5" Sticker Maker by Xyron to turn them into tiny stickers! So cool! She also used the Mega Runner by Xyron to put the card together!

The cute pups on this card by Tatiana are ready to trick or treat! She used the image of the dogs in costumes from our new Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set and colored them in fun Halloween colors. For the background she added a fun purple circle filled with bats that were stenciled using our Flying Bats Stencil. She also added on the "trick or treat" sentiment using the bonus word from our Halloween Trio Die Set.

Newton is so cute in the big witch boot on this card by Zsofia. She colored the cute kitty image from our Witchy Newton Stamp Set in shades of black, purple and lime green and layered it over a vellum, green and purple on her card. To make the card even scarier she added that ghostly background using our new Ghosts Stencil with white embossing paste. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the black scalloped edge. So perfect for a cute Halloween greeting!

This Halloween card by Amanda is too cute to spook! She used the costumed dogs from our new Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set and colored them in vibrant colors. She layered them over a fun ghost background that was created using our new Ghosts Stencil. She added a layer of lime green grass using our Land Borders Die Set. She also used our 
Frames & Flags Die Set for the orange scalloped panel and the purple banner that holds the sentiment. 

Maria created a spooky graveyard scene for Newton to hang out in. She used the haunted house, spooky tree and gravestones from our Spooky Street Stamp Set. She added them onto her card along with layers of black hills and grass cut out using our Land Borders Die Set. Then she added that cute kitty in the witch boot from our new Witchy Newton Stamp Set in the foreground for a scene that is both spooky and cute! 

Who says pumpkins have to be orange? Naki created this fun scene using the costumed pups from our new Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set. She colored the costumes in fun colors, with a purple pumpkin on one and a blue cape on the other. She added the doggies in front of a fun ghost background created with our new Ghosts Stencil. She also added the sentiment onto a vellum speech bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set.

This card by Samantha is truly bewitching! She created an amazing background filled with green clouds using our Clouds Stencil and masking off a moon. She added the image of the kitty in the witch boot and bats from our new Witchy Newton Stamp Set. Isn't it neat how she colored the boot in shades of gray and gold? This kitty is definitely ready for a "witch" ing good time! 

Ellen created an incredible spooky scene for her Halloween card today! This card features the cute puppies in costumes from our new Happy Howl-oween stamp set. She colored the pups and their candies in fun bright Halloween colors that pop off the spooky background. To create the background she used our Clouds Stencil to create layered of blue and purple clouds. Then she layered die cut hills and birch trees over the top using our Land Borders Die Set and Forest Scene Builder Die Set. The whole scene is framed with a lime green scalloped panel that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. So cute and spooky too!

This Halloween card by Andrea is too cute to be scary! This charming card features the image of the kitty in the witch boot from our new Witchy Newton Stamp Set. She colored the image in a fun and bright Halloween color combo and added it onto and oval frame. For the background she created fun purple ghosts using our new Ghosts Stencil. The finishing touch is the "best witches" sentiment, stamped onto a bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set.

The cute dogs on this card by Holly are definitely hoping for treats! She colored the cut image of the costumed dogs from our new Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set in fun bright colors and added little accents with a white gel pen. She kept the card  clean and simple, adding a small strip of patterned paper filled with candy behind the pups! So perfect for sweet Halloween wishes! 

This card by Larissa is so sparkly and enchanting! She created that shiny bat background using our  Flying Bats Stencil with deco foil. Then she layered the image of the kitty from our new Witchy Newton stamp set in a purple and orange boot! She added the little "boo" from our Boo Hoo Stamp Set and framed the whole panel with a postage edged frame from our Framework Die Set
