February Reveals - Day 1 - Loads of Blooms Stamp Set + New Dies and Stencils!

Today is our first reveal day for our February Release! This month we have some awesome new spring products! We're starting things out today with TWO new Stencils, Bold Blooms and a Bokeh two piece set. We also have the new Flower Trio Die Set and and fun new stamp set, Loads of Blooms! We are having a giveaway today too, so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Loads of Blooms

This lovely 4x6 stamp set is perfect for sending LOADS of fun! The trio of ladies in this set are laden with oversized items that are just right for Spring! The enormous bouquet of tulips, giant umbrella, and bicycle basket filled with florals are sure to brighten anyones day!

Bold Blooms Stencil

Mix and match these three fun flower shapes for endless possibilities! This set includes three flower shapes that can be cut multiple times and layered with the smaller flower center and circle to create beautiful blooms. It also includes three types of leaves to layer with them to create fun bouquets. The dies also include extra stitching and embossed details.

Bokeh Layering Stencil Set

This layered stencil design makes creating bokeh backgrounds simple. Use one stencil for the first layer of circles, then add the second layer with a different color to achieve a quick and easy bokeh effect. Both stencils include etching of the opposite layer so they are easy to line up. Or, for a fun simple circle backgrounds, the stencils can each be used on their own! Maria created a lovely scene with the girl riding the bicycle from the new Loads of Blooms Stamp Set. She added in elements to create a scene using the birch trees using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set, a hill using our Land Borders Die Set, and a sunny sky using our Sunscape Stencil. 

Larissa created this sweet floral card by cutting out the daisies from felt using our new Flower Trio Die Set! She also added words in the background from the new Loads of Blooms Stamp Set and added a scalloped edge around the whole thing using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Zsofia created a fun duo of Spring cards using the ladies from our new Loads of Blooms Stamp Set. She colored them in bright pastels and then added them onto fun bright plaid card bases! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to cut out the banners. 

The spring colors on this card by Tatiana are so fun and vibrant! She used the lady riding the bicycle from our new Loads of Blooms Stamp Set and added her and some extra flowers to her card. For the card she cut out the stitched rectangle  and banner using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She also added some fun circles to the background using our new Bokeh Stencil Set! 

Amanda created this fun floral Easter card using our new Flower Trio Die Set to cut out pretty blooms from paper that had been dyed with distress inks! She added in bright green leaves and tiny blue blooms to create a fun card filled with flowers! She added in the kraft colored stitched panel, cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set and the die cut "Happy Easter" is a sneak peek of a die that will be revealed later this week! 

The fun bright spring colors continue on this vibrant spring card by Samantha! She used the lady holding the umbrella from our new Loads of Blooms Stamp Set and created a lovely scene for her adding in hills using our Land Borders Die Set and bright blue clouds using our Sky Borders Die Set! Perfect for a Spring Birthday!

This Spring card by Andrea is full of fabulous florals! She created a floral pattern using our new Bold Blooms Stencil and then used it as a background for a fun shaker card.  She created the shaker frame using die cuts from our Frames & Flags Die Set. Then she added the image of the lovely lady holding a huge bouquet of tulips from the Loads of Blooms Stamp Set in front! 

This gorgeous spring card by Holly is bursting with spring color and flowers! She created fun distress inked panels in bright colors and used our Flower Trio Die Set to cut out the flowers. She added in a custom sentiment using our  Essential Alphabet Die Set. She also added subtle textured bubbles in the background by dry embossing with our new Bokeh Stencil Set.

This card by Naki is so perfect for sending spring smiles! She used our new Bold Blooms Stencil with several ink colors to create a fun spring background. Then she stamped the image of the lady holding an umbrella from the Loads of Blooms Stamp Set and colored it in fun shades of yellow and blue to add to her card. She finished it out with the sentiment embossed on vellum!

This lovely birthday card was created by Ellen. She colored the image of the lady holding a giant bouquet of tulips from our new Loads of Blooms Stamp Set. In the background she created big bubble in yellow and  sparkly gold using our new Bokeh Stencil Set. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the scalloped edge.

Send a Cheerful Smile!

Today we are sharing a vibrant and uplifting Spring card by Zsofia! She features the image of the girl riding her bike with a huge load of flowers from our Loads of Blooms Stamp Set. This image is so perfect for sending a cheerful greeting! She colored the image using gorgeous bright pastels and also colored a couple of extra little individual blooms. The images were cut out using the coordinating Loads of Blooms Die Set. She then created a fun little scene by cutting out a stitched rectangle from teal paper using our Frames & Flags Die Set for the sky. Over this she layered clouds cut out with our Sky Scene Builder Die Set, a fence cut out with our Fence Die Set and grass, cut out with our Land Borders Die Set.

The sentiment, also from the Loads of Blooms Stamp Set was stamped in pink on a circle that was cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. She layered that on top and added the cute extra flowers to embellish it! A plaid background paper in bright colors completes the fun!

This cheerful scene is sure to brighten your day!

Special Day Card by February Guest Designer Caitlin Anthony

I am so excited to share this card with you today! I cannot wait for spring but first we have to get through a lot of snow and then rain to get to the good stuff, so this card has a mix of both. I made a fun ink blended, splattered and glitter paste stenciled background trying to evoke the feeling of rain and puddles and paired it with some fun and bright spring stamps from the Loads of Blooms Stamp Set.

I started out with a piece of white cardstock measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches and used 3 shades of Distress Inks to create a watery background. I started by blending tumbled glass over the entire cardstock and then added in mermaid lagoon from the upper left corner, making a point to not create a smooth blend and going about halfway across the space. I then added the chipped sapphire, keeping it mostly in the corner and went in with a mixture of that ink and water on a small brush and made some small puddles and splotches. Because this was cardstock and not watercolor paper, I tried to use as little water as possible. I let the whole thing dry and then added splatters of all three inks and some watered down white paint.

The final step to finish this background was to add some iridescent glitter paste using the Bubbly Stencil and trim the panel down to 5 x3.75. I glued this smaller panel onto a white-wood pattern paper background that is 5.5 x 4.25 to fit a standard A2 sized card. I was already loving this background but the stencil really stepped up the rainy feel while also making it more fun. Glitter is always fun in my book, especially when it's the kind that doesn’t transfer off the card lol.

I used two different stamps from the Loads of Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped the umbrella lady once and the flowers from the top of the bike lady twice with an alcohol friendly ink and used copic markers to color them all in. I wanted to stick with a small color pallet of all cool toned colors and used a fuchsia pink for a fun and bright pop. I used the coordinating Load of Blooms Die Set for all three images and then trimmed the bike images down to use as bushes behind our main lady.

I stamped out a sentiment from Dainty Daisies Stamp Set onto a white wood print paper to match the backer panel. I decided to glue the bushes and sentiment down flat to the paper and to pop the umbrella lady up on foam tape for some fun dimension. 

This card is a happy reminder that warmer days are coming and flowers can only bloom with the help of some rain!

Thinking of You Card by Andrea Shell

Thinking of You!

Today we are sharing a fun spring card created by Andrea! For this uplifting card today, Andrea created a fun pink bokeh background using our new two piece Bokeh Stencil Set. She added the two layers of bubbles over a lovely pink distress inked background. Then she cut the background panel out using the postage edged die cut from our Framework Die Set. Then she added on the fun image of the lady with the umbrella from our new Loads of Blooms Stamp Set. She colored this image in bright and cheerful colors, giving the lady a fun yellow coat and boots and a bright blue umbrella. Then she die cut it out using our Loads of Blooms Die Set and layered it onto her background along with a circle of vellum.

To finish off the card she added the sentiment "Thinking of you" from our new Woodland Spring Stamp Set. It was stamped onto a white banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set

Happy Blooming Birthday Card by March Guest Designer Jane Clark

Hi there, Miss Jane here again sharing a card using one of the beautiful images from the Loads of Blooms set. I'm blessed to have such gorgeous friends and I know this set is perfect to make a card to brighten their day!

I really wanted the girl image with the BIG bunch of blooms to stand out, so I coloured her with Copic markers then created the background using grey tones. I think the grey background really makes the image pop from the card, don't you think?

I lightly drew the background first using a lead pencil, just to get the angles right, once I was happy I went over the top with a C1 Copic marker then erased my lines. I created shades using N2 and C2 Copic markers, then I thought I would make it look like a sketch and added grey pencils lines to make the details more prominent. I spent a few hours on it and finally I just had to be happy with the result. I'm not an expert, it's not perfect, but basically we're all learning and must be content not to compare ourselves to experts! Just have fun and that's certainly what I had!! Such a gorgeous set!

Happy Blooming Birthday Card by Zsofia Molnar

Happy Blooming Birthday!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous birthday creation by Zsofia that is also quick and easy to make!

For this lovely card, she started by cutting out the postage edged panel using our Framework Die Set. She then used our Bold Blooms Stencil to add the pretty floral pattern to the card, using distress inks in shades of pink and yellow, leaving a strip of white across the stencil where she planned to add her sentiment. Before she removed the stencil she also sprayed it with a shimmer spray to add sparkle to the flowers! 

Once the stencil was removed she stamped the sentiment "Happy Blooming Birthday!" from our Loads of Blooms Stamp Set in the white area. Then she added pearl embellishments to the flower centers. The whole panel was mounted on a white card base.

May Your Days Be Filled with Beauty Card by March Guest Designer Jane Clark

Well, firstly I would like to thank Samantha and Jennifer for their trust and having faith in me to make cards using the fabulous Newton’s Nook Designs stamps! I have had so much fun making these cards and just as much fun styling them! 

My last card was simple, so this one is totally the opposite!! It’s over the top, for me anyway lol, I’ll certainly not be making another!! 

The idea started out as a subtle background again, with a repetitive stamped image, but, it turned into this fully coloured scene with lots of ladies, puddle reflections and raindrops!! My creative brain just went into overdrive!! 

Anyway, I stamped the girl with the umbrella image from Newton’s Nook Designs Load of Blooms set on white card using Memento tuxedo black ink. I covered her with a post-it-note mask, then stamped her another five times using the second generation of ink as shown. 

I coloured the first stamped image with Copics in vibrant shades and used soft tones for the other ladies, then I fussy cut the panel of ladies. I sponge white card with Distress Inks - tumbled glass and chipped sapphire, then glued the girl panel towards the bottom as pictured. I stamped the feet again aligning them up with the ladies so they looked like the reflections in the puddles. I use a white gel pen to draw puddles and a white prismacolor pencil to create shadows and raindrops. Oh my I could’ve gone further but I stopped there lol. 

I have truly enjoyed being the March Guest Designer and as always....playing with Newton’s Nook Designs Stamps.

Happy Blooming Birthday Card by Samantha Mann

Happy Blooming Birthday!

Today have an awesome spring card by Samantha! She created this gorgeous spring card using the tulips from our Beautiful Spring Stamp Set. She colored the tulip tops and stems using bright colored watercolors. Then she cut them out using the coordinating Beautiful Spring Die Set. For the background of her card she created a fun sky using distress inks and added the tulips in front, layering them with dimensional adhesives. She cut a banner out of black cardstock and embossed the "happy blooming birthday" sentiment in white from our Loads of Blooms Stamp Set. This sentiment from our new set goes so perfectly with the image of tulips! What a fun way to blend new and old products together!
