Pop, Fizz, Clink Card by Samantha Mann

Pop, Fizz, Clink!

Today Samantha is back with a celebratory cocktail card! This fun card is perfect for a fun birthday greeting or any celebration!

She created a colorful line of cocktails by stamping the images from our Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set and coloring them in a rainbow of colors! She used the coordinating Cocktail Mixer Die Set to cut the images out. Then she layered them over a fun distress inked background. She background also includes a subtle sun ray pattern in shades of blue and teal that was added on using our Sunscape Stencil

For the sentiment she embossed the "Pop, Fizz, Clink!" sentiment from the Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set in white ink on a black speech bubble. The speech bubble was die cut using our Speech Bubbles Die Set.

Here is a close up so you can see all the amazing details:

We hope this card by Samantha has brightened your day and made you smile!

Beautiful Moments Kitty Card by Jennifer Jackson

Collect Beautiful Moments Kitty Card by Jennifer Jackson | Newton's Flower Garden Stamp Set, Land Borders Die Set, Hills & Grass Stencil and Clouds Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs

Collect Beautiful Moments!

Hello! Jen here today with a fun summer kitty card! I just love these kitties playing in the garden from our Newton's Flower Garden Stamp Set. I stamped two of the images onto watercolor paper using a waterproof ink. Then I colored them using Inktense watercolor pencils. I had a ton of fun giving the one kitty tabby stripes and the other one a fun tortoiseshell pattern. It's so fun to create different coloring on our kitty images! The sky is the limit! Once the kitties were colored I cut them out using the coordinating Newton's Flower Garden Die Set

Next, I created a scene for the kitties to play in. I started by cutting out a rounded rectangle using our Frames & Flags Die Set. Then I used our Clouds Stencil to create layers of clouds in the sky and our Hills & Grass Stencil to make a green hill. I love using these fun edge stencils to create landscapes! Then I added some grass along the bottom that I die cut out of green polka dot paper using our Land Borders Die Set. I sponged a bit of green ink to the tops of the grass for a little more dimension. The sentiment "Collect beautiful moments" from the Newton's Flower Garden Stamp Set was stamped into the sky.

Then I assembled everything together, layering it over a strip of light blue cardstock and a kraft colored card base. The kitties were added using foam dimensional adhesive and I added a bit of white bakers twine too.

I hope you enjoyed this card today! I just love creating scenes for our critter stamps! If you like creating scenes, make sure to check out all of the fun products in our Scene Building Category

I hope you enjoyed this card today! Thanks for stopping by!

Hap-pig Birthday Card by July Guest Designer Rachel Alvarado

Hello crafty friends!  It's Rachel here and I'm back this week to share a fun slimline birthday card with you featuring some adorable little birthday pigs!

Pig Birthday Card by July Guest Designer Rachel Alvarado | Oin Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

For this one layer card, I combined both the Oink Stamp Set along with the birthday hat from the Paw-some Birthday Stamp Set.  I absolutely love these sweet little pigs!  My 8 year-old daughter is obsessed with pigs, so I created this card for her upcoming birthday.

Pig Birthday Card by July Guest Designer Rachel Alvarado | Oin Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

I first trimmed a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 3.5" x 8.5".  I also trimmed a piece of basic white card stock to the same size and quickly stamped a rough draft/template of my card.  I used this template along with my MISTI when stamping my final design.  I masked my images as I went so that the pigs appeared behind the hats as well as some pigs in front of and/or behind each other.  I don' t always create one-layer cards but I find that the fussy cutting is actually relaxing for me, so on some nights when I'm watching tv with my husband, I stamp all of my images onto a piece of Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets and cut away lol.

Once I was done stamping and all of my images were covered, I then blended the background with Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks.  I splattered this area with both watered down white acrylic paint as well as diluted Peacock Feathers Distress Ink for added interest.  Once dry, I then trimmed my piece down to 3.25" x 8.25" and layered it with pieces of teal and white card stock.

Sending Smiles Shaker Card by Larissa Heskett

Sending Smiles Shaker Card by Larissa Heskett | Gnome Garden Stamp Set, Heartfelt Butterflies Stamp Set, and Heart Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Sending Smiles!

Today we hoping that this card by Larissa will inspire you to send smiles! She created this beautiful shaker card by pairing images that feature butterflies.

First, she colored the big heart filled with butterflies from our Heartfelt Butterflies Stamp Set. She colored the butterflies in gorgeous vibrant colors and then added a halo of blue around them. She used this image to create a fun shaker window, adding a teal heart shaped frame around it by cutting the scalloped heart and inner heart shape out using our Heart Frames Die Set. She filled the shaker with tiny sequins and hearts.

In front of this beautiful shaker she added the adorable image of gnome with a butterfly on his finger from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set. She colored him in colors that match the butterflies and cut the image out using the coordinating Gnome Garden Die Set. Underneath the gnome image she added a bit of hand drawn grass and the sentiment "Sending Smiles" from the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set

Here is a close-up so you can see all the amazing details:

You're so Narly Card by Samantha Mann

You're so Narly Card by Samantha Mann | Narly Mermaids Stamp Set and Tropical Fish Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Narly Summer Card!

Today Samantha is back with a summer card that is sure to brighten your day! She created this colorful  card featuring our retiring Narly Mermaids Stamp Set. She started by stamping the image of a mermaid holding a narwhal and a few additional single narwhal images. She colored these cuties in fun bright colors, adding a vibrant green tail on the mermaid! She even added pink cheeks and white gel pen accents too! The images were then cut out using the coordinating Narly Mermaids Die Set

To make the rainbow of waves for the background she used our Sky Borders Die Set. This die set has a large scalloped edge and she cut out borders using the reverse cut that you get when you cut it out. She made several layers of borders, adding a different color to each one with different distress inks to create that rainbow effect! Splatters of water and white acrylic ink add a fun effect. Once it was all adhered together, she added a fun texture using our Tropical Fish Stencil(also retiring) with white texture paste over the top.

Then, she added the cute little mermaid to the scene and tucked the two narwhals behind the waves! How adorable!

Sandy Paws & Salty Kisses Card by Tina Herbeck

Sandy Paws & Salty Kisses Card by Tina Herbeck | Newton's Seashell Stamp Set, Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set and Seashells Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

A Beachy Kitty Card!

Today we are sharing an adorable beach themed card by Tina! For this fun card she features the image of Newton listening to the sea from our new Newton's Seashell Stamp Set. She colored that cute kitty, giving him orange stripes and cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Seashell Die Set. To add to the beachy seashell theme, she created a fun strip of patterned seashells using our Seashells Stencil with a variety of neutral ink colors over a light blue paper. So pretty. She also added scallops to each side of the panel using our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. The sentiment is from our Beach Barks Stamp Set and goes as perfectly with this kitty image as it does with the puppies in that set!

For another beautiful detail, she used the Seashells Stencil again, this time embossing it on a white card front panel by using a die cutting machine. This creates such a lovely subtle texture!
