February Reveal Day 1 - Made from Scratch Stamp Set + Die

Today is our first reveal day for our  February Release and we are featuring the new Made from Scratch stamp set + Coordinating Made from Scratch Die Set! We are giving the stamp set away to one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

First up we have this sweet card from our February Guest Designer, Ka Slagoski. I love the doily band the fun pink whisks in the background behind the mixer! So cute!

I love the pastel colors on this card by Yukari! That mint colored mixer really pops with all the soft pinks around it !

Stephanie created this fun card using the mixer with the "you spin me right round" sentiment! What a fun and cheerful card! 

Kimberly created this delicious shaker card using our new stamps! I love sprinkles inside the shaker frame and the no-line coloring is so pretty! She also added in the cupcake from our Love á la Carte Stamp Set. 

I love how Nina-Marie colored and die-cut out so many of the new kitchen images and clustered them together! Looks like a busy and messy (but adorable) kitchen counter! 

It's so cute how Samantha created sweet pastel colored dough for those cute rolling pins. Do you think she's making macaroons? Love it! 

Another fun mixer card by Danielle! I love the eclectic layers and how she stamped the images in white on kraft paper to create a fun tag! 

Crafty Math-Chick found the perfect patterned paper to coordinate with this new stamp set! I love how she colored the tools to match and added the fun "Whisking you a Happy Birthday" Sentiment! 

Jess created this fun clean and simple layout using our new stamps! What a fun teal and red color combo! Those images really pop off the white backer!

Another fun shaker card, this one by Lydia. I love how she added in some of the kitchen images to the shaker window! Such a cute idea!

This card by Larissa is super fun! I love how she uses the dies to make windows around all the kitchen tools!

Two Amazing Cards by Larissa Heskett

Two Gorgeous love cards today!

Today I'm sharing amazing cards by Larissa! The first card, above, features our sweet bunny from the Hoppy Days stamp set.   I just LOVE how she stamped that bunny onto fun xoxo paper and fussy cut him out. The added pink glitter to the tail and ear is so adorable! The way she created the shaker card to look like a snowglobe is just incredible!

For the second card today, Larissa used our Darling Duos stamp set to create this colorful bird card. I just LOVE the bright inked background and the way she cut the hearts out with our Darling Hearts Die Set and stitched them back on through their centers! The birds are so pretty too. They almost look like stained glass!

Inky Paws #28 Favorites

Since there were so many great cards with this sketch cards, we chose THREE more as our favorite picks! If you see your card below, contact us if you'd like to get a "favorite" badge for your blog!

This Valentine by Diane made us smile! We love how she used the alligator from the Beach Party stamp set and created a cluster of balloons using the "love" sentiment from the Winged Wishes stamp set! 

We loved all the layers and fun colors on this card by Tara.  That distress background is super fun. Check out her site for a fun video on how she did this. She used our Sweetheart Tails Stamp Set for the fox image and sentiment. 

And one more favorite - We loved the way Dawn combined  the flamingos from our Flirty Flamingos Stamp Set with the Eiffel Tower from the Newton Dreams of Paris Stamp Set! The way she colored the grass is so pretty too!

February Guest Designer - Ka Slagoski

Meet Ka!

Today I want to give a warm welcome to our guest designer this month - Ka Slogski! She will be posting with our Design Team with our new February release this week. We are so excited to have Ka join us this month! She has wowed us with her creations using Newton's Nook Designs Stamps and we can't wait to see what she does with our new release!

"Hi everyone! My name is Ka and I blog over at Stamping Smiles Designs. I’m so thrilled, honored and happy to join the Newton’s Nook’s Design Team as a guest for the month of February! I also want to give a big THANK YOU to Jen for the opportunity to be her Guest Designer this month!

I enjoy all things paper-crafting, but my real passion is card making. I started scrapbooking in 2007 and a couple months later, I was introduced to card making through a co-worker. It was immediate love! Whimsical, cutesy images are my favorite! I also enjoy organizing my crafting supplies. There is just something about having an organized, clean crafting studio. When I am not creating and organizing, I am spending time with my husband, playing games at Dave & Buster with friends, having family game nights, playing tennis, and watching my favorite comedy TV shows!"

For this card Ka did some created an adorable masculine birthday card using Winston from our Campfire Tails stamp set.

This cad by Ka is one of my favorites - I love the way she layered balloons with the kitty from our Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set! 

And one more cutie:  Ka created this adorable card using the doxie from our Delightful Doxies stamp set. I love the simplicity of this layout with the glossy balloon!

Sweet Treats Blog Hop!

Second Annual Sweet Treats Blog Hop! 

The Newton's Nook Designs Team is hopping along today to share some great Sweet Treats - just in time for Valentines day! Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the whole list and hop along and comment for a chance to win!

For my stop on this hop I created  a couple of fun projects - First up is a fun set of candy boxes:

These little clear square boxes came with washi tape inside and I thought they were so adorable I should save them - Sometimes being a crafty hoarder comes in handy - they work perfectly for these Valentine treats!  I used our Tags Times Two die set to cut out some white tags and then I stamped the frog and grasshopper from the Jolly Tags stamp set on them. I colored them with copic markers and then added them to the boxes with some twine. I also added a strip of washi tape along the top edges of the boxes! 

For the second project today I created this adorable little Valentine treat bag! I stamped the owl from our Sweetheart Tails stamp set and colored it with copics and fussy cut it out. I cut out the large heart using the Darling Hearts die set with the black and white paper and with red. I then cut out a smaller heart in the corner of the patterned piece so the red behind would show through. I stamped the "Love OWL-ways" sentiment and embossed it in white on black cardstock. I just LOVE how this turned out!

Hoppy Birthday Card by Lydia Evans

HOPPY Birthday! 

Today we have another adorable card using our fun Hoppy Days stamp set by Lydia!  I love how she created a fun focal point with the circle of blue water for the frog to hop across! That cute little frog really "jumps" off the card, doesn't he? The sentiment "Hoppy Birthday" is also from the Hoppy Days stamp set! What a fun birthday card!
