Inky Paws Challenge #28 - Love Theme

This month's challenge is a Theme Challenge! 

create a project that is all about Love!

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? The Challenge winner will receive a $10 store credit to our online store and a Inky Paws Challenge Top Pick Badge to add to your blog! If we get more than 15 participants, we will choose two winners so be sure to tell your friends to play along! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, February 5th, 2015 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog on Monday, February 8th.

Are you ready to play along and get your paws inky?

• Create a NEW project (card or other paper craft item).

• Your project MUST use at least one Newton's Nook Designs stamped image (or free digital stamp - check out our Freebies page).

• Post your project to your blog or to an online photo gallery such as Flickr, Pinterest, or splitcoaststampers (on splitcoast please use keywords newtonsnook and IPC28).

• Link back to this challenge (if posting in an online gallery copy the link into the photo description). 

• Submit your project to this challenge using the InLinkz widget below. You must submit a DIRECT link to your post page.

• Have more than one great idea? You can enter more than once! Just link up each card separately. 
• TIP: Please make sure your photo in focus  - We can't pick you as a winner if we can't see your card clearly because your photo is blurry!

Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome birthday cards they created! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

Here is an adorable Valentine by Jess! She used the cute frog image and "Hoppy Valentine's Day" sentiment from our Hoppy Days Stamp set!  I love how the colors pop off the black background!

Samantha used the cute pup from our Fetching Friendship stamp set for her love-themed creation! Pet lovers will definitely agree that LOVE is a four-legged word! 

Here is delightful Valentine by Yukari! That sweet kitty image, eiffel tower and hot air balloons are from the Newton Dreams of Paris stamp set. I love the scene she created with them! Then she added the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment using our Simply Seasonal stamp set! 

Here is an adorable Love card by Stephanie featuring our elephant image from the Wild about Zoo stamp set. I love the big pink bow and the  "Will ZOO be mine?" sentiment on the wood!

This sweet card by Danielle is purr-fect for Valentines Day! This image from the new Darling Duos stamp set is perfect to go with the "I just want to Snuggle" sentiment that Danielle created!

The rainbow hearts on this card by Kimberly look good enough to eat! She used our new Darling Hearts die to cut out the hearts and the "thinking of you" sentiment is from our Whispering Pines stamp set!

And lastly, here is what I created. I used the love birds from our new Darling Duos stamp set and colored them bright colored copics. I cut them out with the coordinating Darling Hearts die set. I also added the small heart & "love" sentiment from the die set.

Sweet Thank You Wishes! 

Today we're sharing an adorable thank you card by Yukari. I love how she created this little sky scene using our  Winged Wishes stamp set! Those cute little birdies holding up that fun thank you banner are so adorable! I love how she framed the sky scene with a fun scallop framed edge! Her color combo of blue, green and yellow is so cheerful - perfect for a spring thank you!

Slow Down Birthday Card by Samantha Mann

SLOW Birthday wishes from a sloth!

Today I'm sharing this adorable birthday card by Samantha Mann using our cute little sloth image from the In Slow Motion  stamp set. I love how she watercolored that cute little guy and fussy cut him out  to add to her scene. The sentiment "slow down & enjoy our day" is also fromthe In Slow Motion  stamp set! I also love that gorgeous background she created for him! So beautiful!

Party! It's Your Birthday Card by Larissa Heskett

It's a kitty Birthday Bash!!

Get ready for a fun kitty birthday party! Today I'm sharing this super fun birthday card by Larissa! Larissa combined two of our Newton stamp sets to create this kitty party scene. The cat behind the stack of boxes on the left is from our  Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set and the images of the gifts in the center and the kitty popping out of the gift of the right are from the Newton's Christmas Cuddles stamp set.  This set is so cool because although it was released as a holiday set, you just need to change the colors and it doubles for a birthday set! How fun is that? I also love the way Larissa colored those kitties with the stripes and spots- so adorable!

Gorgeous Retirement card by Jess Gerstner

Congrats in gold and black! 

Today we are sharing this gorgeous retirement card by Jess! She used our fun bold floral blooms and flourishes from the Fanciful Florals stamp set and embossed them in gold on black paper! What a stunning look! She also created a custom retirement sentiment using our Simply Sentimental stamp set! The words "congrats" and "on your retirement" are part of all the mix and match options available in this set - it's a perfect set to have on hand to make cards for all the special occasions that you might need to make cards for!

Danielle created pretty Valentine! I love how she has all the fun layers with a focal point on the two sweet pups! 

Nina-Marie created a whole set of beautiful watercolor cards featuring our new bird image! Isn't it pretty how she cut out the "love" in gold?

Crafty Math-Chick created this fantastic Valentine! I love how she created her own background by stamping the hearts! She added the "dad" from the Winston's BBQ stamp set to customize the sentiment too! 

Here is an adorable shaker card by Larissa! I just love how she nestled those kitties and sequins in a big heart! So cute!!

Here is a sweet and simple heart card by Kimberly I love how she made a window with the heart die and nested the bird image inside it! She also used a our Holiday Smooches and Years of Cheers sets to create the custom sentiment!

Samantha used the sweet kitty image and added an arrow behind the heart! I love how she colored the kitties too! So adorable! 

Yukari created this sweet bird valentine! I love the pretty pastel colors she used - so lovely!

Lydia used the dies to create this gorgeous heart card! I love the way she watercolored all the different colors and then used our heart die to cut them out. The black "love" works perfect with it! 

Stephanie created this sweet bird card! I love the way she used the positive and negative shapes of the heart die cut. The sepia toned coloring on the birds is so pretty too!
