Love Bandit!

Are you ready for Valentine's day yet? 

This little bandit would make a very sweet valentine card! I stamped him onto some watercolor paper and colored him in with Inktense watercolor pencils and a water brush. Isn't he adorable?

I also added on a piece of this fun chevron printed burlap I found at local craft shop! So fun! For the sentiment I just added the simple "xoxo"-- simple and sweet!

Here is a super fun card by Valerie using the Campfire Tails set! Isn't it cute how she added the s'mores in his hand instead of the fishing pole?

Samantha used the "mummy" bear from the Boo Crew set but instead of a mummy she made him into a sweet bee! ADORABLE!

 Tessa created this fun card using the fishing bear from the Campfire Tails set! I love the coloring on this one - so pretty!

Inky Paws Challenge #06 Winners!

Inky Paws #06 Challenge - WINNERS! 

We had so much fun checking out all the entries for our sixth Inky Paws Challenge at here at the Newton's Nook Designs blog! This time we switched things up and did a COLOR challenge - and all our participants really did a great job with it! As always- it's hard to pick a winner! Thanks to everyone who played along! It's always so much fun to see what everyone does with our stamps! We love seeing all the projects.

This card by Christiana is our first winner this month! Christiana made this adorable card using our Just Say Cheese set and even hand-drew a sombrero for the mouse! ADORABLE! If you head over to her blog, Christy Gets Crafty, you can watch a video showing how she created her project too. 

Our second winner is Jess with this fun card featuring the bear from our Campfire Tails set!  We loved the bright colored sky and scene that she created! So pretty!  Jess actually made another card with a night scene too- We thought this card fit the color challenge better but loved both. This card by Tanja is so cute! Love the coloring on the kitty and the dot pattern. Plus, the woodgrain frame is so fun! Tanja used our  our Newton's Antics set!

We loved the fun layout on this card with the folded paper corner by Barbara! What a great idea for double-sided papers! Barbara used our Love à la Carte Set. 

This bright and colorful, Warhol inspired card by Jen also caught our eye! I love the simple, bright composition!  Jen used the cheese grater from our Just Say Cheese set.

Valentine Bandit Card by Larissa Heskett!

Another super fun card  by Larissa today

Isn't this little raccoon on the vellum tag from Larissa super cute? She created this card using one of our newest stamp sets, Sweetheart Tails! What a fun way to end the week!  Larissa had also planned on sharing a video showing how to make this card but is having some technical difficulties with her camera and with YouTube - if she can get it working we can add the video later to this post or up on our facebook page. But for now - let's just ooh and ahh over her cute bandit!

Foxy Card and Video by Christine Drogt

I am so excited to be able to share this card and video with you today from Christine Drogt! This is officially the first video on our blog! I'm so excited that several of the awesome ladies on our new Design Team have video skills- maybe someday I'll learn how to do it too but for now I'm just excited to be able to share some with you from these girls.

S'more Birthday Wishes by Danielle Pandeline!

What a fun Campfire Scene!

This ADORABLE card by Danielle Pandeline combines two sets that I never would have thought of combining-- the kitty with the scarf from Newton's Holiday Mischief and the campfire, s'more stick and stars from Campfire Tails! This is such a cool idea! I love the little kitty warming himself by the fire while he makes S'mores - and I think it looks a bit like Danielle's Kitty, Nash! I also love the hill made from chevron paper and the stars-- so pretty!

Snowman Valentine will melt your heat!

Snowmen to melt your heart!

I'm back again today - sharing a sweet snowman card using the Frozen Friends set. Wouldn't this make a cute Valentine? There's definitely still a lot of snow here and I'm sure there still will be on Valentines day! So it's quite fitting to use this sweet snowman couple!

To make this card I used a fun color combo of teals and pinks and used the cute little mitten stamp for to create a background pattern! I stamped the snowmen on watercolor paper and colored them with distress inks and a water brush. Here's a close-up:
