Merry Christmas Card by November Guest Designer Kelly Latelova

 Hello Crafters!

Whoop! Whoop!

Recently, we had our first snow fall here in the great OH-IO and even though we haven't passed Thanksgiving I can already feel myself starting to get excited for Christmas!
It may or may not have something to do with the fact that I have a four year old.

I thought I loved Christmas and then I had my peanut butter.
Man, there are few things better than watching a kid on Christmas morning.
Talk about sheer Joy :)

Speaking of joyful things, do you know what else makes me happy?
Rainbows.
If they're paired with black and white it's even better.

About a month ago I saw a card from Newton's Own Samantha Mann and fell in love. You can see her post here.

I just adore the simple layout with the glittery texture and those rainbow houses.
**Swoon** am I right?
Plus, I love how she utilized the swoop of the houses as a design element.

I was so inspired by her card I decided to do my own take on it.

I decided to flip flop the colors because I wanted there to be that black and white contrast with my rainbow colors.
Which honestly don't even look rainbow haha.
All my blue/green is covered up by the sentiment.
Meh, I like pink and purple too :)

I wanted that feel of glittery texture Sam had on her card so I chose to try out Glimmer Paste with my stencil. In real life it's super glittery even though it looks subtle in the photos.
Unfortunately, I couldn't make my camera capture it.

You can see the whole card come to life in the video!
See there really is blue and green in it lol
It was worth it to add in the black and white. I always feel like that makes the background colors POP and I love it.

I hope you're inspired  to give one of these techniques a try.
