You Make Rainy Days Brighter Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Bright Umbrellas

This beautiful card by Tatiana is sure to make any rainy day brighter. 

To create this beautiful card she began by cutting out umbrellas in several fun bright colors using our Umbrella Pals Die Set. This die set goes perfectly with the images in our Umbrella Pals Stamp Set but today she is using just the die set on it's own. 

For her card base, she created a fun stenciled panel using both our Bokeh Stencil Set and our Raindrops Stencil. She started by stenciling the big blue dots using the Bokeh Stencil Set with blue inks. Then she added the rain using our Raindrops Stencil with white texture paste! That layering effect is so cool! 

On her card base she added little black raindrops up the side, stamped using the image from our Umbrella Pals Stamp Set and then layered the stenciled panel over the top. Next, she arranged the umbrellas over the stenciled background, layering them on top of each other and added dimensional tape to raise some of them up. The finishing touch is the sentiment "You make rainy days brighter" from our Newton's Umbrella Stamp Set. She embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then hand cut around it before adding it to her card. 

We love the way the layering of stencils looks on this card! We hope that you will try layering some of your own stencils to create new and fun background patterns and textures!

Sweet Hummingbird card by Donna Idlet

Sweet Hummingbirds for Spring!

This beautiful hummingbird card by Donna is perfect for sending a happy hello this spring!

To create this lovely scene she started by stamping the sweet little bird and flowers from our Hummingbird Stamp Set. The bird in this stamp set faces left but she created another bird facing right using the reverse (or mirror) stamping technique using a Misti and a Waffle Flower stencil mat. Then she colored both birds and all the flowers and used the coordinating Hummingbird Die Set to cut them out. 

Next, she cut out the stitched rectangle panel using our Basic Frames Die Set. She then masked off the edge outside of the stitching to leave a white edge. She then masked off the top of the panel and added a green inked area. She also used our Clouds Stencil with blue ink to create the pretty cloudy sky. She then layered on the flowers and hummingbirds and stamped the sentiment along the top. The whole panel was framed with the fun zig zag edged frame that was cut out using our Frames & Tags Die Set. A lilac card base ties it all together.

Herd It's Your Birthday Card by Zsofia Molnar

Birthday Moos!

Today we are sharing a fun farm themed birthday card by Zsofia! 

This adorable card features the cute cow from our Moo Stamp Set. Zsofia stamped the cow and hay bale from the Moo Stamp Set. She also stamped the bundle of balloons that are placed in the tail of the cow using and image from our Cycling Friends Stamp Set. She colored all the images, using pretty shades of yellow and blue on the balloons. The images were then cut out using the coordinating Moo Die Set and Cycling Friends Die Set. Next she cut out a black banner using our new Basic Frames Die Set and layered the images on top. So cute! She also added the sentiment "Herd it's your birthday!" from the Moo Stamp Set, stamped onto a bubble that was cut out with our Speech Bubbles Die Set. She added a bit of white ink to the edges of the banner along with some white twine across the top and a few clear embellishment dots to finish out the banner. 

For her card, she used a white card base and then layered a fun gingham patterned paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad, cut into a zig zag edged frame using our Frames & Tags Die Set! This perfectly frames the banner and adds to the farm theme! The last step was the the big "celebrate" across the bottom, stamped in black using our Birthday Essentials Stamp Set.

This fun farm themed birthday card would be perfect for a friend or family member of any age!

Beautiful Succulent Card by Samantha Mann

Life would Succ Without You!

Today we are inspired by this gorgeous succulent card by Samantha!

To create this beautiful card she heat embossed the pretty succulent stamps from our Succulent Garden Stamp Set using white embossing powder. Then she added color to the leaves using watercolor markers in shades of pink, green and orange. So gorgeous! She cut all the pretty little plants out using the coordinating Succulent Garden Die Set. 

For her card, she inked a white card base using green oxide inks and then added leaves to it using our Hibiscus Stencil Set. Next she inked up a second cardstock panel using pink and orange and then cut it out into a frame using our Frames & Tags Die Set. So gorgeous! 

To assemble her card she added the pink and orange frame over the background, popping up the outer frame using some dimensional adhesive.  Then she added all the little succulent pieces, arranging them in a cascade across the frame. She added some white paint splatters across the whole card for an added fun texture. Last, she embossed the sentiment "Life would SUCC without you!" in white onto black cardstock and hand cut it out to add onto her card. This fun sentiment goes perfectly with the succulent theme! 

What a gorgeous floral card! We love the technique of embossing the images in white and adding color! We hope you will give this a try!

Mouse Birthday Card by Amanda Wilcox

Happy Birthday, Big Cheese!!

Today Amanda ahs created a fun and colorful card that is perfect for sending birthday smiles!

This card pairs the cute mouse from our Birthday Mice Stamp Set paired with our colorful patterns from our fun new Bright Basics Paper Pad.

Amanda stamped and colored the image of the cute mouse holding up a stack of gifts and cheese from our Birthday Mice Stamp Set! So cute! She colored the image in bright colors and added little bits of gloss and sparkle to the cheese, candle flame and birthday hat. Then she cut the image out using the coordinating Birthday Mice Die Set before adding it to her card. 

For her card she kept the layout basic but used fun patterns from our Bright Basics Paper Pad for a bright punch of color! She added a blue polka dots on the background for the base layer. Then she cut out the fun big scalloped circle using the green striped paper with our Circle Frames Die Set. She cut out a white stitched circle, also using the Circle Frames Die Set to fit inside it and layered the mouse image onto that. 

The finishing touch is the sentiment, embossed in white onto a small black tag that was cut out using our Frames & Tags Die Set and tied one with bright orange twine! So simple, yet colorful! What a cheerful way to send a birthday wish!

Bright Birthday Card by Diane Morales

A Bright Birthday!

Today we are featuring a fun bright birthday card by Diane! 

To create this adorable card she started by creating a fun zig zag edged card using the biggest frame from our Frames & Tags Die Set. She cut the frame from a fun metallic cardstock to give this card a fun shimmery special touch. Next, she used our Confetti Hot Foil Plate to create a fun foiled background and cut that out using the large rectangle from our new Basic Frames Die Set

Next, she stamped and colored the cute trio of kitties from our Newton's Bright Birthday Stamp Set. The three kitties on this image are shielding their eyes from the cake that is filled with too many birthday candles! She colored the image in fun bright colors, matching them to the colors of the metallic paper and then cut it out using the coordinating Newton's Bright Birthday Die Set. She layered the kitties onto her card along with the sentiment "Hoe your birthday is a bright one!" and some fun iridescent sequins. 

There is so much fun sparkle on this card with the metallic paper and foiled panel! What a fun way to make a birthday special, even if there are too many candles on the cake!
