Today we have Christmas inspiration from Kim and Naki

Happy Holidays Snowman card by Kimberly Rendino | Frozen Friends stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook
This card by Kimberly is so adorable! She used the cute little snowman holding his coffee from our Frozen Friends stamp set! The "Happy Holidays" sentiment from the Festive Flamingos stamp set really pops off the card in that little red banner!

Pink Christmas Flamingo card by Naki Rager | Flirty Flamingos and Paradise Palms stamp sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook
Naki created this adorable pink Christmas card! She used the fun flamingos wearing hats and scarves from the Festive Flamingos stamp set and added a lovely pink skyline behind them, complete with palm trees from the Paradise Palms stamp set! The sentiment "dreaming of a pink christmas" is also from the Festive Flamingos stamp set.

Hope you are enjoying our Christmas Favorites Week! Remember to stop back to the blog each day for some fresh inspiration!!

May Your Day Blossom Card Flower by October Guest Designer Karen Baker

Flower Card by October Guest Designer Karen Baker | Garden Starter Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Fall is my most favorite time of year! I love the richness of colors that can be seen everywhere. It's Karen from The Bald Dragonfly here and once again excited to be the Newton Nook's Guest Designer for the month of October. I am featuring the lovely Garden Starter Stamp Set on my card today. I started by masking and stamping the zinnia image onto Bristol Smooth cardstock with a mix of red and green dye ink. Then I loosely watercolored the images with Zig Markers, adding a lot of water towards the outside image to allow the ink to bleed. After the panel thoroughly dried, I restamped the zinnias with black ink, as well as the sentiment. After inking the edges, I affixed the panel onto some black cardstock, and then onto a kraft card base. and that finished off the card!

Beautiful Leaf Earrings with Larissa Heskett

Beautiful Double-sided Leaf Earrings by Larissa Heskett | Beautiful Leaves Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Double Sided leaf Earrings!!

Besides being an amazing card maker, you might know that Larissa also loves to make beautiful jewelry! Today we're sharing an pair of amazing earrings she created using our Beautiful Leaves stamp set! For the front side (pictured above) she stamped the leaf images onto shrink plastic and shrunk them down to make fun little mini leaves that are perfect for earrings! Then she did a fun technique with embossing powder on the back side (pictured below) to make the awesome gold side. I love how versatile these earrings would be since you can wear them two ways! How cool is that?

Cheers to Fall Card & Video by Jess Gerstner

Cheers to Fall Card by Jessica Gerstner | Fall-ing for You and Years of Cheers stamp sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Cheers to Fall!

Have you ever wanted to customize a sentiment? Today this card by Jess does exactly that! She took the big sentiment from our new our Fall-ing For You stamp set but didn't use ALL of the words on it. Instead, she masked some off and added the "Cheers" form our Years of Cheers stamp set! Doesn't that look so cool? She also added in that cute coffee cup and steam from the Fall-ing For You stamp set and did some awesome watercoloring on the background.

Here's a video by Jess showing you how she created this fun card:

Thanks for the fun inspiration today,  Jess! You can see more of her projects on her blog, Jess Crafts  - and you can also follow her Jess Crafts youtube channel to see more fun videos!

Happy Haunts Card by Kimberly Rendino

Happy Haunts Card by Kimberly Rendino | Spooky Street Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Happy Haunts!!

Are you ready for Halloween? I've been seeing the big bags of candy at the grocery stores and there are even some houses in our neighborhood with decorations up already!

Kimberly created this spooky and fun card today featuring our a couple of our favorite Halloween stamp sets! She used the "happy haunts" sentiment, gravestones, spider and moon from the Spooky Street stamp set. Then she added on the little spiderweb and "eek" sentiment from the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set on the purple tag! The tags were cut out using our Tags Times Two Die Set. This combo of stamps and dies combines perfectly for this fun Halloween card! The purple and orange color combo is so awesome with the black and white stripes too!

Thanks, Kimberly for the fun spooky inspiration today! You can head over to her blog, Kimplete Kreativity to see more about her card and say hello!

Flower Garden Card by October Guest Designer Karen Baker

Our October Guest Designer is so talented and so very sweet! Karen Baker will be joining us this month, and wowing us with her watercoloring and bright, happy cards! Check out her first amazing  project below and come back each Monday this month to see fresh inspiration from her!
October Guest Designer Karen Baker | Newton's Nook Designs
I'm a graphic designer by trade and mama of two boys who spends weekdays at work and late evenings crafting. I'm drawn to the clean and simple style, yet like to dabble in shabby chic, elegant and fun and cute too! I really enjoy card making and home decor projects...anything that will stretch my boundaries, challenge me and make be a better designer is what I strive for!
It's Karen from The Bald Dragonfly here! I'm really excited to be Newton Nook's Guest Designer for the month of October. I'm holding onto the last bit of warm weather with my almost one layer, clean and simple card today.

Flower Garden Card by October Guest Designer Karen Baker | Newton's Nook Designs

I stamped the beautiful foxglove flower image from Flower Garden onto white cardstock three times. I arranged the stamp so that I didn't have to do any masking! After the flowers were stamped, I completed the image by drawing a stem for the middle bunch of foxgloves. I colored the flowers in with markers, then did a dotted outline sky. I was drawn to these flowers as they are simple enough to make my coloring look effortless, but provide just the right amount of detail for such a pretty arrangement. I then die cut the beautiful "smile" greeting from the Garden Window Die three times in black cardstock, layering each on top of the other for a nice, dimensional sentiment. While the the sentiment was drying, I adhered three layers of washi together to ground the flowers. I finished the card by adhering the die cut sentiment.

I'll see you next week for a fall inspired creation using the Garden Starter Stamp Set!
