Inky Paws Challenge #29 - Color Challenge

This month's challenge is a Color Challenge! 

use the colors Red, Light Blue, Lime Green and White

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome birthday cards they created! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

Yuki created a fun kitchen window scene using our new Made from Scratch Stamp set and Made from Scratch Die Set! What an adorable birthday card!

Danielle created this adorable scene using sever NND sets. The kitties are from our Newton's Antics stamp set and the trees are from the Whispering Pines stamp set. She also used the fun "meow" die cut shape from our new Newton Unwinds Die set!

What a beautiful shaker card by Larissa! I love how she used our new Made from Scratch stamp set and Made from Scratch Die Set to create this awesome kitchen themed card!

Our February Guest Designer, Ka Slagoski played along with our Versatile Vases Stamp Set! I love the pop of red on the flowers in the center! So pretty!

Here's one by me (Jen) - I also used the new Made from Scratch Stamp set and Made from Scratch Die Set! I added some images to a watercolored background and added the red gingham bow to add to the kitchen feel!

Life's a Garden Card by Yukari Yoshioka

Life's a Garden! 

Who's ready for Spring? This cheery spring garden card today by Yukari has definitely given me a bit of spring fever!  She created this adorable garden card using our bear, Winston with his watering jug from our Garden Whimsy stamp set! I love how she created a little scene with him watering that cute little flower! The colorful inked background is so pretty! The "Life's a garden" sentiment is also from our Garden Whimsy stamp set!

Whisking You a Happy Birthday Card by Samantha Mann

Pretty in Pink - in the Kitchen! 

I'm LOVING this adorable PINK card today by Samantha using our brand new Made from Scratch stamp set. I  love how she stamped all the fun baking tools in black and added pink distress ink over the top! If you look closely you can see fun little white details added in too! The vellum bar with the "whisking you a Happy Birthday" sentiment adds the perfect finishing touch! I love how quick and easy it would be to make cards like this. As much as I LOVE coloring stamped images sometimes it's nice to have a quick and easy alternative that's pretty too!

Meow You Doing? Kitty Card

Meow you doing? 

I had so much fun playing with our new Newton Unwinds stamp set! I love this image of the kitty playing with his ball of yarn! To make this card I stamped the kitty on some watercolor paper with waterproof black ink. Then I colored him using zig clean color markers - I love the fun bright colors these markers have. I mixed an orange, brown and black to give the kitty a soft of natural looking multi-colored fur pattern. I love how it turned out! Then I gave him a bright blue ball of yarn! I used the coordinating Newton Unwinds Die Set to cut out the kitty!

To make this into a card, I added the kitty image on top of a white circle and added in some fun pattern papers with clouds and flowers from my stash (I admit, I'm a bit of a patterned paper hoarder!)   I found a piece of bright green paper and added on the "Meow you doing?" sentiment, also from the Newton Unwinds stamp set. To finish it off I also added a bit of striped washi tape and some orange yarn. I thought the yarn tied nicely in since the kitty has his own yarn! LOL!

Le Meow Kitty Card

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day! I wanted to share one more "love" card today. This card could easily be a Valentine but you could also use it anytime of year or for any occasion. I used one of my personal favorites, Newton Dreams of Paris and stamped the image of the kitty in the hot air balloon as the focal point of my card. I colored the image with copic markers using the red and black color theme for the hot air balloon and adding on a few darker stripes to the yellow kitty! I added on the "le meow" sentiment, also from the Newton Dreams of Paris stamp set. Then I added some distressing to the edges with a sponge and some distress ink.

To make the image into a card, I chose some simple black and white striped and newsprint papers and added them to the red card base. I also inked the edges of the patterned papers a bit. For the finishing touch, I added some black and white bakers twine. I love how this turned out!  Hope you enjoyed it!
