Meowy Christmas Card!

Meowy Christmas Card by Jennifer Jackson | Newton's Nook Designs | Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set

Meowy Christmas!

Today I'm sharing this card I created with our Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set. I stamped the image of Newton and the snowman onto watercolor paper and colored it with Distress Markers. I love the vibrant watercolor look you can get with these markers! Then I added the "meowy christmas" sentiment from Newton's Holiday Mischief stamp set.

For the background I used a sweater print stencil and some embossing paste over kraft cardstock. To color the embossing paste I squished a bit of color from the ink pad onto my work surface and then mixed in a bit of embossing paste with it. I made purple and blue to match the coloring on the image. I LOVE how this turned out - and it was so fun to make!

BEARY Merry Christmas Card!

BEARY Merry Christmas Card by Jennifer Jackson | Winston's Home for Christmas | Bear Stamp set by Newton's Nook designs

A "BEARY" cute Christmas Card!

Hello & Happy Friday! I'm always SO glad when it's Friday - and this Friday is even more exciting since I'm packing up to go on a girls "craft" weekend! YAY!

I'm also excited to share this super cute Winston card with you today! I have been having so much fun with watercolor lately. I watercolored this bear  with the Christmas tree from our Winston's Home for Christmas set and then fussy cut him out to add him to the card. To be honest, I wasn't PLANNING on fussy cutting him out but the first time I stamped the sentiment I smudged it so I decided I'd have to cut him out so my image wasn't wasted!! Does that ever happen to anyone else? I added him onto a piece of white cardstock - on which I had carefully stamped the "have a beary merry christmas" sentiment without smudging this time!  Then I added some lace ribbon and wooden star embellishments! So pretty! And since he's wearing a sweater, I thought it would be appropriate to use this cute sweater paper as a backdrop!

Hope you're inspired to make some Christmas Cards now - that's what I'm going to be doing this weekend! I know you must be SHOCKED that I haven't finished...um.... or really even STARTED the bulk of my holiday cards! Yikes!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Here's what I created:

Coffee Card by Jennifer Jackson for Coffee lovers blog hop | Love à la Carte Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs

I thought I'd use our fun Love à la Carte Set since it has an image of a Coffee Cup with some sugar  - just perfect for the theme of today's hop! I still am in the "holiday" card making mode so I decided to make this a warm wintery card. I colored the coffee cup red with a pop of teal for the saucer using copics. Then I fussy cut it out and layered it with some different circles to make a fun tag. I created the card base from Kraft colored cardstock and added some snowflake pattern paper to give it a holiday feel. Although the Love à la Carte stamp set does have some fun sentiments in it I decided to use the "warm Wishes" from the Snow Day set instead - just to make it feel more wintery!  Then I added a bit of sparkle with some glittery washi tape and a doily because I just love the look of doilies!

Meowy Christmas Door card by Crafty Math-Chick

Meowy Christmas Door card by Crafty Math-Chick | Newton's Nook Designs Stamps

Deck the halls with a kitty on your door!

Today I'm sharing an adorable Door Card by Crafty Math-Chick! She created a fun "door" shape with wood grain embossed panels and then stamped the kitty in the wreath from the Newton's Holiday Mischief stamp set to hang on the front. Isn't this such an adorable idea? I also love the little "meowy christmas" sentiment hanging from the tail of the cat with twine!

Don't forget to say hello to Crafty Math-Chick on her blog, Canines and Card Designs!
