New Inky Paws Challenge #39!

Heart Themed Challenge!

Today is the start of a a NEW inky paws challenge over on the Inky Paws Challenge Blog! The current challenge is a theme challenge and theme is to use a heart in your project, along with some NND images:

 I wanted to play along so here's what I created:

I created a cute doggie Valentine card using our Darling Duos stamp set!  I stamped the doggie duo on watercolor paper and colored them using inktense pencils and a water brush. Then I trimmed them out using the coordinating Darling Hearts Die set.  I also stamped the image of the heart with the paw print in bright red from the Darling Duos stamp set and cut that out with the Darling Hearts Die set. 

To make the card,  I added some fun pattern paper and a stripe of black and white heart washi tape to a kraft card base.  I stamped the "sweet friend" sentiment, also from the Darling Duos stamp set in black. I added on the fun images and some red twine!

A New Year, A NEW Inky Paws Challenge Blog!

Get ready for more fun with our NEW inky paws Challenges!

We have made some exciting new changes to our Inky Paws Challenges! We've moved the challenges to their very own blog!  You can find the NEW inky paws challenge blog here!
Starting on January 16th we will be hosting challenges on our new blog and beginning in February challenges will be consistently twice a month, with a new challenge beginning on the first and third Monday of each month!

To help us out with this fun new format we've chosen these two awesome ladies as Inky Paws Challenge Leads! They're going to help inspire us with the challenge themes and make sure the blog is running smoothly! You will remember Jess as a former Design Team Member and we've added Debbie Owens, a long time NND fan and challenge participant! Hi, my name is Debbie, aka Indy. I live in Utah with my hubby and two fur babies--Catapult and Velcro. I have several passions in life--cats, card making, clay ornaments, coffee, chocolate, and camping! I began card making back in 2010 and reached out to the Internet for inspiration and ideas! Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome cards they created, inspired by this fun, festive color palette ! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

This sweet winter card by Yukari features our bunny, Lily, dressed in a Christmas colored sweater from the Sweater Weather Stamp set! She used the color combo on the sweater, leaving the bunny white and added a bunch of fun mittens in the background too! The "Season of Joy" sentiment is from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set. 

Samantha used the fun color combo on this card featuring Winston driving his car full of gifts from the Winston's Home for Christmas stamp set. She used the red and green on the car, gift and trees and added the teal as a watercolor background on white paper! 

Kimberly created this adorable card by embossing the trees from our Festive Forest stamp set in white over red cardstock! She added in the "Thank you" from our Vegetable Garden stamp set and a just a little pop of teal!

This sweet fireplace scene by Larissa uses red and green on the rug and fireplace swag while keeping a white card base. Then she added some teal in the background to help this lovely scene op off the card! This sweet image is from our Fireside Friends stamp set.  

Jess created a flurry of snowflakes from our Beautiful Blizzard stamp set using the chosen color combo! I love how pretty this looks! She added an extra pop of teal up the sides too! 

This gorgeous wreath shaker card by Naki uses the color combo in the form of sequins inside the shaker! She also used the red and green on the wreath which was made with our Pines & Holly Die Set, and added an extra pop of teal with a teal tag using our new Joyful Tags stamp set! Such a fun card! 

This cute forest scene by Danielle features our cute kitty in a sweater from the Sweater Weather Stamp set! She used the green, red, and teal on the sweater, leaving the kitty white! So cute! 

This card by Stephanie features our adorable doxie from the Holiday Hounds stamp set twisted up in some holiday lights! She kept her color palette focused on the red green and white with just little teal accents!

Here is another lovely snowflake card using the color combo with  Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. Crafty Math-Chick created this one, using white for the base and added the snowflakes in the other colors of the challenge! I love the simplicity of this with the added sequins for a bit of bling! 

Here's one created by me! I used Winston dressed in his sweater from the new Sweater Weather stamp set and colored his sweater using the color combo! The colors really pop off the white card base!

Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome PLAID cards they created! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

Samantha created a plaid background for her card using masks and inks! So cool! She created the city using images from the Newton Dreams of New York  and Newton Dreams of London stamp sets and the sleigh and sentiment are from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set. 

Larissa created a sweet little shaker card with a fun plaid border! She used images from the Bushels of Love stamp set (Simon Says Stamp Exclusive). Adorable!

Naki created a fun fall thank you card using plaid paper and letters! She added in pumpkins cut out with the Pick-a-Pumpkin Die Set. That stitched ribbon is so pretty too!

Yuki created a duo of adorable dog cards using dogs from our Canine Christmas stamp set with fun plaid backgrounds. The color combo on these cards of black, red, kraft and white is one of my favorites for Holiday cards!

Danielle added plaid paper in fall colors to create this fun card! The angles of paper in the background are so fun! Winston from the Winston's Birthday stamp set really pops off the card! 

I pulled out one of my favorite christmas images, Winston driving a car laden with holiday goodies from the Winston's Home for Christmas Stamp Set. I colored the image with watercolors and then added plaid paper along with some black chalkboard style washi tape. I finished it off with the sentiment "have a beary merry christmas" embossed in white on a black circle.

Naki created this super cute Halloween shaker card using our Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set!
I love the spiderwebs in the corners too! 

Samantha combined the pup in the tutu from our Boo Crew Stamp set with the "Happy Hallo-weenie" sentiment from the new Dress Up Doxies stamp set! Such a fun combo! 

This sweet kitty treat tote was created by Larissa using the new Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp set! The fun newsprint paper is perfect for Halloween and it's so cool how she colored different colored pumpkins! 

Stephanie used our used the Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp set with some fun bright halloween colors on her card! Do you see the tiny polka dots on the kitty, hat and broomstick that she paper pierced?

Yuki created this awesome Halloween Kitty card using our Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp set. Isn't that vellum grass so cool? 

This trio of fun treat holders is by Crafty Math-Chick! She used a bunch of sets to create these. The spider and web are from the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set, the pumpkin is from the new Dress Up Doxies stamp set and the owl on the branch is from the Spooky Street stamp set. 

Here's a card by me :) I had so much fun watercoloring the kitty and pumpkins from our new Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp set.

Naki created an awesome pumpkin card using burlap and lace with our Pick-a-Pumpkin stamp set and Pick-a-Pumpkin Die Set! Such a perfect look for Fall! 

This simplicity on this card by Samantha is so lovely! She used burlap and a lace doily along with the butterflies from the Beautiful Wings stamp set and coordinating Beautiful Wings die set. 

Kimberly created this awesome Autumn card using our new Beautiful Leaves stamp set and coordinating Beautiful Leaves die set! I love the burlap leaf that she cut out with the oak leaf die! 

Crafty Math-Chick used burlap as a fun background for the die cut deer shape from our Splendid Stags Die Set. Then she added the "Happy Birthday" from the new Raccoon Rascals stamp set. What a great masculine birthday card! 

Of course I had to play along too! I used the images from the Beautiful Leaves stamp set and embossed them on kraft colored paper in gold, white and brown. Then I trimmed them out with coordinating Beautiful Leaves die set. The tag was cut out using our Tags Times Two Die Set.  I added some burlap behind the tag and a strip of lace too!
