Hello there! Happy Monday! How did the weekend go by so fast? They always do, don't they? I was able to spend a bunch of time working on our holiday release (I know, Christmas in July, right?) It's crazy to work so far ahead but that's how it goes :)
For now, let's get back to summer with a camping Card. I made this card using the Campfire Tails stamp set. This was one of the very first cards I made with this set but I haven't had a chance to share it yet so thought I would do that today! I colored the fire with copic markers and punched it out using a circle punch. Then I mounted that onto a piece of dark brown card stock - makes it really pop off, don't you think? Then I layered that on top of a piece of light yellow card stock and sponged the edges. I added the sentiment "Meet me by the campfire" with black ink. Then I used a woodgrain embossing folder to create the big woodgrain background and also sponged the edges of that. Then I mounted the whole thing on a bright orange base card. I really love how this turned out. I think it's one of my favorites that I've made with this set!
What do you think? Love this campfire as much as I do? You can purchase your very own Campfire Tails set in the Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
Don't forget - the Inky Paws Challenge is going on until Friday, August 9. Make sure to enter! You can find details on the Inky Paws Challenge page.
