Happy Halloween!

Are you ready for Halloween crafting? Today we are sharing an awesome Halloween themed card by Amanda that might just get you inspired to start your crafting for the spooky season!

For this card Amanda features our Spooky Stories Stamp Set and A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set.

She cut out the design from the A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set twice, once from black and once from white. She used the black for the frame and then ink blended over all the white stitched pieces to using fun halloween themed colors. She stamped the sentiment images from the Spooky Stories Stamp Set directly onto the lower left corner piece and then stamped the other images onto  a separate piece of white cardstock and die cut them using the coordinating Spooky Stories Die Set. She layered the die cut images over the other ink blended pieces. 

She assembled the card together using dimensional adhesive, leaving the orange piece with the sentiment lower than the rest of the frame and added acetate and sequins to make a little shaker in the corner! What a fun idea!

Cats, Love & Boxes Card by Samantha Mann

Cats, Love & Boxes!

Today Samantha has created an adorable card filled with kitties and boxes! If you own a cat, you know how much they love boxes and our Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set is the perfect way to share that love! 

We love the neutral color palette that she choose for this card and how she added shades pink for the boxes! She stamped and colored all those cute images of cats squeezed into boxes from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set, adding white highlights with a gel pen. She cut the images out using the coordinating  Newton Loves Boxes Die Set.

For her card base she created a textured background using our Meow Stencil with white texture paste. Then she cut out the frame using our A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set and layered it over the textured panel. She arranged all of her images into the windows of the frame and tucked in the sentiment, also from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set. 

This card is guaranteed to make any cat lover smile!

Birthday Card with Free Balloon Die by Jennifer Jackson

Happy Birthday!

Hello! Jen here today to share a quick and simple birthday card using some of our newest products! Plus, this card features the cute Mini Balloon Die that you can get free with any purchase in our shop (while supplies last). 

To start out creating this card I looked through our Birthday Time Paper Pad and chose couple of patterns to use. I used our new Card Layout 4 Die and cut it out 4 times, twice using the patterned papers, once using a white cardstock and once using a pink cardstock. I then chose which pieces to put where and assembled it onto a light blue card base. 

I added the sentiment using our Happy Birthday Die Set. I cut the words from white paper and the shadow layer from a slightly darker pink than the frame.

Next, I cut out three balloons using the Mini Balloon Die using cardstock colors that matched the patterned paper. 

To finish I adhered Happy Birthday Sentiment and the balloons to my card. This was such a quick and easy birthday card to create! The die cuts and papers make it a breeze!

Christmas Cactus Card by Samantha Mann

Christmas Cactus!

Have you thought about making holiday cards yet? It's never too early to start and today we are sharing a Christmas card by Samantha featuring our Christmas Cactus Stamp Set and Lattice Die Set to get the inspiration started!

To create this card Samantha stamped the lovely cactus blooms from our Christmas Cactus Stamp Set multiple times. She colored all the blooms in shades of pink using watercolor markers. She added white highlights with a white gel pen to the petals and cut out all the blooms using the coordinating Christmas Cactus Die Set. 

For her card base she stenciled a white piece of cardstock using a light gray ink with our Tree Rings Stencil. Then she took that panel and cut it out using our Lattice Die Set. What a fun way to give the die cut texture! She stenciled another piece of white cardstock using our Petite Snow Stencil with white texture paste to give a subtle texture. She cut the snowy panel to fit her card front and then layered the die cut lattice over the top. She then layered all those cactus blooms along the right side, overlapping them to create a beautiful edge. 

Last she added the sentiment, stamped and embossed in white onto a black banner. The banner was die cut using our Banner Duo Die Set. She also added a few iridescent sequins around the blooms for a little bit of sparkle.

Coffee + Holiday Cheer! Card by Donna Idlet

Coffee + Holiday Cheer!

Today we are sharing a Christmas card that is perfect for sending to a coffee lover! This card features our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set, A2 Card Layout Die Set and Christmas Paper Pads. 

To start out, Donna created a beautiful holiday background using our A2 Card Layout Die Set. She chose several pretty patterns from our Christmas Time Paper Pad our and Meowy Christmas Paper Pad that she thought looked nice together. She used the die set multiple times with the papers so that she had all of the pieces in the different patterns. Then she assembled the pieces onto a red card base. 

Next she stamped the image of the kitty hugging a coffee from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. She colored the mug in red and green to match the background patterns and give it a holiday feel. She also added to the holiday theme by adding a Santa hat using our Christmas Puppies Stamp Set. The images were cut out using the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set and Christmas Puppies Die Set. 

She chose a sentiment from our Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set for the holiday cheer message, stamping it onto an oval that was cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set.

A Hug in a Mug Card by Diane Morales

A Hug in a Mug!

Need a little caffeine this morning? We hope this cheerful card by Diane is will help!

For this card Diane features our Coffee Delights Stamp Set and our A Hug in a Mug Die Set.

To create this card Diane started by cutting out a her card panel using the large scallop edged rectangle from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. Then she stamped the row of mugs from our Coffee Delights Stamp Set several times, embossing the images using white embossing powder. Next she added colorful inks over the rows of mugs, alternating colors over each row! She also added some ink splatters over the card panel and colored in a few areas using a white gel pen. 

Once her background was done she cut out a white stitched heart using our Heart Frames Die Set and the sentiment using our A Hug in a Mug Die Set.

Caffeinated Christmas Challenge!

Caffeinated Christmas!

This month Newton's Nook Designs will be featured over on the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge and we are super excited! I'm sharing a fun coffee themed Christmas Card today to help inspire you to play along! 

This card features our Christmas Coffees Stamp Set, Fractured Card Layout Die and Christmas Basics Paper Pad! 

To create this festive card I first stamped and colored the three coffee mugs from our Christmas Coffees Stamp Set. I used copic markers in fun bright holiday colors. The images where then cut out using the coordinating Christmas Coffees Die Set.

Next, I used our Fractured Card Layout Die to cut out the fun background. I picked the paper with green hearts and the paper with red stripes from our Christmas Basics Paper Pad and cut out both pieces. I used the die again on a pieces of green and kraft colored cardstock. 

TIP: Since I cut out a total of 4 different pieces of paper I have lots of extra pieces but now I will save those and use them for my next Christmas card! That's what's great about this die. You can easily mix and match the pieces that are cut out and that makes creating multiple cards easy! Perfect for the holiday season when you need a bunch of cards!

To finish the card I assembled all the pieces onto the card base and added the sentiment onto the center!
