One Layer Fright Night Halloween Card!

Create a Spooky Card with Just one layer! 

Hello - Jen here today with a SPOOOOOOKY card! To create this card I first stamped the big spooky tree from our Spooky Street stamp set. Then I masked off a long rectangle on the white cardstock base right over the tree.  I also added a masked circle punched out of a sticky note to make my moon. Then I used a sponges and distress ink to make layers of spooky clouds! After I was done sponging, I pulled off the masks to reveal the white moon and cardstock beneath. Then I added in the bats and the "fright night" sentiment!

Houses Built of Cards

My name is Heather, and I blog over at Houses Built of Cards. I have been married for 14 years to the man of my dreams, and have two sweet daughters age 11 and 10 that I homeschool. I absolutely LOVE making cards – and also enjoy scrapbooking memories of my family. I lived my entire life up until about two years in Northwestern Washington State, and now live in a very small town in Wyoming – although that is about to change, as we recently found out we are relocating back to Washington State sometime in the next few months. If you aren’t familiar with my blog name, then let me explain a little! When I started card making, I quickly found that I was making WAY more cards than I could possibly use. Thanks in part to my young daughters and something they both cared deeply for, I decided to direct all the proceeds from the sales of my cards to the building of houses for widows and their children in Burundi, Africa, through a ministry called Sister Connection. Building one house is amazingly just $600!!! I just finished the money portion of my 5th house, and am continuing to work toward a 6th. If you are interested, you can read more about that HERE.

I am so excited to be playing with Newton’s Nook Designs this month! Their quality is fabulous, and every single image is darling – and I love all the beautiful matching sentiments!

Fright Night Scene!

Can you believe it's October already? Yikes! Where did the last month go? Today I'm sharing this spooky Halloween card by Danielle Pandeline! Danielle created this fun card using the pumpkins from Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set to create a little pumpkin patch. The bats, owl and "fright night" sentiment are from our Spooky Street stamp set!

This adorable Fall card by Jess features our Hanging Around  and Falling into Autumn stamp sets! Jess stamped this card with and awesome distress ink background and those GORGEOUS leaves!
