Snow Globe Scenes Card & Shaker Ornament by November Guest Designer Sybil Brewer

Hello again, Sybil here sharing a card & shaker ornament set that was such fun to make! I copic colored the images from the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set and used the coordinating Snow Globe Scenes Die Set as well.

For the card I used an oval stencil and blended oxide inks for the night sky and the snowy, bottom portion of the oval. I then embossed the snowflakes, added stars with a white gel pen and stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment. After adding the stamped images and a few gems to the snowflakes, the card was finished once the scene was adhered to a blue card base.

For the shaker ornament I used the same Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set and color combos as I did for the card. Using the Snow Globe Shaker Die Set, I cut the outline of the globe several times, gluing each layer together until I had the desired thickness for the shaker bits to move about freely, then I attached it to a layer of acetate to create the window.  I prefer this method rather than die cutting foam which can easily get misshapen in the process. After adding a wintry sequin mix, I used a strong glue to attach the scene portion of the globe. I cut out the base twice and put foam in the center of the two pieces so when attached to the globe it would have the same dimension. I attached sequin trim to the back of the globe so it can be hung as a tree ornament or attached to a package.
