Thank You Card for a Sweet Teacher!

Today Ellen has created a charming card that would be perfect to give to a special teacher! She combined the lamb from our Woodland Spring Stamp Set with sentiments and images from our Classy Teachers Stamp Set to make this adorable teacher themed card.

She started by coloring that lamb from the Woodland Spring Stamp Set with copic markers, adding fun little speckle details onto the fur. Next, she colored the stack of books and apple from the Classy Teachers Stamp Set to add onto her scene. She cut the images out using the coordinating Woodland Spring Die Set and Classy Teachers Die Set.

To create the scene she used our Land Borders Die Set for the grass edge and framed the whole thing with a scalloped frame border that was die cut using our Framework Die Set. This die set was also used for the ticket shape that holds the sentiment.

Tips on creating this card

Below we have some tips from Ellen on how this card was created and her color combos:

  1. (left photo) First I colored the illustrations with Copic Markers:
    Sheep: E50, E51, E52 and E31, E33, E35, RV23, RV02, RV000
    Blue Flowers: B04, B02, B00
    Yellow Flowers: Y06, Y02, Y00
    Green YG25, YG02; YG00 and BG99, BG97, BG95
    Books: E33, E35, E37 and E25, E27, E59
  2. (center photo) I cut out the word "class" from the sentiment stamp on the Classy Teachers Stamp Set. Later I embossed both pieces in white and gold. For the biggest piece I used the smallest die from the Framework Die Set.
  3. (right photo) As last step I created the background. The Framework Die Set and Land Borders Die Set were used to complete this. I used Oxide inks (Mermaid Lagoon, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover).
We hope you enjoyed this amazing card today and are inspired to mix and match the stamps and dies you have to create unique and custom cards!
