Nutcracker Card by Jennifer Jackson

Nutcracker card by Jennifer Jackson | The Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set and Music Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
Hello! Jen here today with a fun nutcracker themed card! I created this fun holiday card featuring the mouse wearing a nutcracker outfit from our The Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set. I colored the mouse using copic markers and then cut him out using the coordinating The Nutcracker Squeak Die Set. To add to the music theme, I created a background of music notes using our Music Stencil. The nutcracker was layered over this onto a strip of white cardstock. I also added the "joy to the world" sentiment, embossed with red embossing powder from our Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set. To add a bit of holiday sparkle, I cut out two scalloped borders from gold glittery paper using our Sky Borders Die Set

This card was is simple to make yet feels so fun and festive! It's putting me in the mood to listen to some Christmas music!

Piles of Penguins and Warm Winter Wishes!

Today Maria created an a sweet winter scene that is sure to make you smile! She features the cute trio of penguins from our new Penguin Pile Stamp Set. She colored them with fun bright pastels on their scarves and hats and used the coordinating Penguin Pile Die Set to cut them and the iceberg out. She created a fun cold scene for them, adding some gifts in the lower corner using the Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set and the coordinating Die Set. Do you think they're crossing the water to grab their gifts!? She also added some snowflakes in the sky and attached stockings to the trees in the background using the little die cut confetti shapes from our Ornament Shaker Die Set. What a fun idea! The warm wishes sentiment on the snowbank was also stamped from our Penguin Pile Stamp Set

Deck the Halls Card by November Guest Designer Amanda Wilcox

Welcome back everyone! This is my third post as a guest designer for Newton's Nook and the fun is just beginning. I love all of their products so much and have been planning this card out in my head since the last release in November. I hope you enjoy it!

Deck the Halls Card by November Guest Designer Amanda Wilcox | Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set, Gingham Stencil, and Ornaments Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

To make this card I die cut my backdrop from white cardstock and then used distress inks and the Gingham Stencil and Ornaments Stencil to create backgrounds for my too cute Christmas Trimmings girls. I trimmed some glitter cardstock down for ground and added that to each panel.

Next, I set to work on my images from Christmas Trimmings, using the stamps and coordinating dies. I colored them with copic markers and added white gel pen accents and then laid out my card to started assembling.

I stamped my sentiment in the upper right box and popped up my gifts and ornament with foam squares. I added glossy accents to the ornament and Wink of Stella glitter brush to the gift boxes.

I popped up my next 2 girls and added glossy accents to the wrapping paper dots, scissors, and tree star and ornaments. The glitter here went on her hair bow and the Santa hat.

For this last fun girl, I popped her up with foam squares and added glossy accents to the light bulbs and ornaments in the box. I glittered the bow in the decorations box too.

I had so much fun keeping the color palette for this card limited to blue and teal tones. I just love those colors and it was a fun spin for a non-traditional Christmas card.

I hope you enjoyed this and find a little inspiration to create something beautiful!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
