2019 National Coffee Day Blog Hop

Today we are playing along with the 2019 National Coffee Day Blog hop!

I you like coffee you are going to LOVE this blog hop! There are so may fun stops on this hop featuring coffee themed cards you are sure to be inspired! There will be prizes too on most of the stops! Read all the way to the end of this post for details on the giveaway from us at Newton's Nook Designs and a link to all the stops.

Now - onto the inspiration! I created two cards using our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set and Pumpkin Patch Stencil to play along!

2019 National Coffee Day Blog Hop | Fall coffee cards by Jennifer Jackson | Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set and Pumpkin Patch Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
For the first card I created a fun Fall scene featuring the image girl with giant pumpkins and a coffee mug from and a little single pumpkin from our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. I colored the images using watercolor markers and cut them out with the coordinating Pumpkin Latte Die Set. Next a I cut the stitched square shape using our Frames Squared Die Set. I added some brown grass along the bottom of the square using our Hills & Grass Stencil to add to the Fall mood. The sentiment "happy pumpkin spice season" is also from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set

For the background I created some fun fuzzy pumpkins using our Pumpkin Patch Stencil and orange flock sheets from Therm O Web. To attach the flocking you first use Decofoil Transfer Gel over the stencil. Once the gel is dry, you add the flock by layering it over the top of the stenciled pattern and sending it through a heat laminator. The flock sticks to where the transfer gel was placed.

I thought the "leftover" piece of flock also looked super cool too with the reverse image so I used that to create a second card!

For the second card I used several of the same supplies. I used another image of a girl with coffee from our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. Again, I colored the images using watercolor markers and cut them out with the coordinating Pumpkin Latte Die Set. Just like the previous card,  I cut the stitched square shape using our Frames Squared Die Set. This time I created the scene a little differently. I added clouds using our Clouds Stencil across the sky and I added one layer of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. I added one little leaf floating on the breeze from our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set

As previously mentioned the background is the "reverse" or negative of what you get when you use a flock sheet from Therm O Web. This is a great way to get more milage out of your supplies! I also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to cut the scallop edged rectangle shape.

I hope you enjoyed this card today! If you like coffee, make sure to check out all of our coffee themed sets in our Coffee & Tea category

  9. I have never drank any coffee.
    Smells good when it's roasting
    but tastes terrible. Sugar
and cream don't improve it any.
    (My personal opinion and I'm
    sticking to it). My drink
of choice is a cold Pepsi -
    anytime, anywhere. the cards
    are great. thanks for
