Friday Mash-up Sponsorship - 200th Challenge!

Friday Mashup Challenge - 200 - Newton's Nook Designs

Today I'm playing along with the Friday Mash-up Challenge Blog! They are having a big party over there in honor of their 200th Challenge and there are prizes - including a  $15 store credit from to Newton's Nook Designs!

Mother and baby Giraffee Card by Jennifer Jackson | Wild Child Stamps by Newton's Nook Designs

The challenge is to Mash-up two of their previous challenges - You can find the whole list here. I choose the #76 Challenge (Starburst Technique) and the #194 challenge (baby theme). I had never tried a Starburst technique before so that was fun! If you go the page for the #76 Challenge here, there is a link with instructions on how to do it.  I chose some fun green and yellow papers I had to go with the baby theme. I then stamped the mother and baby giraffe from the Wild Child stamp set and punched it out with a BIG circle punch. I colored the giraffes with copic markers and sponged the edges of the circle just a little with some distress ink. I finished off the card by stamping some grass along the bottom. The grass and the and the "welcome baby" sentiment are also from the Wild Child stamp set. I love how this turned out. Now I have a perfect baby card for the next baby shower I get invited to!
